Lucky's Wild Pub 2 lands March 12, 2026 - almost exactly a year after the original. The Irish pub theme is back, the three pots are back, and the Pot Respin system is back. What changed? The max win ceiling jumped from 10,000x to 15,000x, and there's a new 500x buy option that guarantees a 100x multiplier zone. That's the pitch.
Pragmatic Play borrowed the mechanical framework from Chests of Cai Shen 2 and grafted it onto the original's Irish aesthetic. If you played the first game, the transition is seamless. If you played Chests of Cai Shen 2, you'll recognize the bones under a different skin.
The grid is 5x3 with 25 fixed paylines paying left to right. Six themed symbols (the pub logo, a barmaid, a leprechaun barkeep, a pint of stout, a golden harp, and a basket of coins) sit above four card royals. The Wild appears on reels 2 through 5 and substitutes for everything except Bonus Coins and Money symbols.
Payline wins are modest. Five logos or five barmaids pay 2x your bet. Five of any mid-tier themed symbol pays 1.2x. Card royals max out at 0.6x. The base game exists mostly to feed the three pots sitting above the reels.
Purple, red, and green Bonus Coins land during normal spins. Each gets collected into its matching pot. Any collection event has a random chance of triggering the Pot Respin feature - and when it fires, one, two, or all three modifiers activate simultaneously.
Multiplier Zone (Purple): Four zones are drawn across the grid. Each zone gets a random multiplier - 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, or 100x. Fill a zone with Money symbols and every value inside gets multiplied. This is where the 15,000x cap lives.
Doublin' (Red): The Pot Respin plays across two separate 5x3 grids. Both grids start with the same Bonus Coins from the triggering spin, now converted to Money symbols. Double the grid space, double the collection opportunities.
Life (Green): Respins start at 4 instead of 3, and every new Money symbol resets the counter back to 4. Extra breathing room for building value before the round expires.
When the feature triggers, normal symbols disappear. Only blank positions and Money symbols remain. You start with 3 respins (4 with Life). Every Money symbol that hits sticks in place and resets the respin counter. The round ends when respins run out or every position fills.
Money values range from 0.6x to 30x your bet per symbol. Mini (10x), Minor (20x), and Major (150x) jackpot values appear on the reels too. Fill every single position? Grand pays 5,000x on top of everything else.
All three modifiers running together is the dream scenario. Life keeping respins alive while Doublin' doubles the grid and Multiplier Zone applies a 100x to a packed section - that's the math model behind the 15,000x ceiling.
Two buy-in paths skip the pot collection grind:
RTP stays at 96.50% across both buys. The 500x option is steep, but the guaranteed 100x zone is the only real addition over the original game's feature set.
Max win went from 10,000x to 15,000x. The X100 buy option is new. Beyond that, the changes are cosmetic. Same pub, same pots, same modifier logic. Reviewers aren't wrong when they call it a cautious sequel - Pragmatic Play played it safe here. But the original formula worked, and the 15,000x cap with a 32% hit rate and 96.50% RTP is a solid statistical profile for a high-volatility hold-and-win slot.
