About Mine Defender Slot
No reels. No paylines. Symbols drop into a 5x6 grid from above, and when enemies land among them, a goggle-wearing miner in a gold-trimmed tank opens fire from the bottom of the screen. That is the base game loop - not spinning, but shooting. The hero starts each round with one life and one shot. Defeated enemies get replaced by feature symbols or payout crystals, and wins are evaluated as scatter pays requiring 7 or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid. Winning symbols clear, everything falls, new drops fill the gaps. Surviving enemies advance one row closer to the hero. If they reach the bottom, each one strips a life.
Collectible symbols modify combat on the fly. Ammo adds shots (up to 3 per firing round), Spread Shot upgrades those to triple projectiles, Hearts restore lost lives, and Multiplier symbols build a global multiplier that applies to all scatter wins and coin payouts for the rest of that round. Coins pay their displayed value times bet times whatever the multiplier has reached. Mystery Boxes crack open into weapons, enemies, or wilds. The weapon pool is where things get tactical: Airstrike hits 1-6 random enemy positions for 3 damage each, Laser clears an entire column of normal enemies, and Pushback shoves everything one step away from the hero - standard enemies pushed off the grid are just gone. The X-iter system (ELK's buy bonus) scales from 3x for increased bonus trigger chance up to 500x for a guaranteed Mass Attack Bonus with maximum ammo loaded.
Three Bonus scatters flip the grid into something different entirely. The rectangular layout becomes circular - 10 radii by 5 concentric rings, hero stationed at the center, enemies closing in from the outer edge. Life refills to 3, ammo carries over from whatever you accumulated in base play. The sci-fi cave backdrop gives way to a radial battlefield where the same shoot-collect-clear cycle plays out in 360 degrees.
Fifty total enemy kills across base and bonus trigger Final Boss mode. The grid reverts to 5x6, populated only with enemies, coins, and multipliers. A 3x3 boss with 50 life and a Trophy Coin dominates the board. Unlike every other enemy in the game, the Final Boss survives its own attacks on the hero - it keeps coming. Beating it pays the Trophy Coin value multiplied by your accumulated global multiplier. Mini Bosses (2x2, 10 life, their own Trophy Coins) appear during base play as smaller versions of the same idea. The whole game is built around reaching that final encounter with enough multiplier stacked to make the Trophy Coin payout count.
