About Molten Fireballs Slot

Picture a stone-tablet reel grid bolted into the side of an active volcano - jagged blue-grey peaks crack open to reveal molten cliffs glowing behind the symbols, and the MOLTEN FIREBALLS logo burns in cracked orange lettering above it all. This is Light & Wonder's take on Phoenix mythology, and the entire mechanic hinges on one creature: a flaming orange bird that swoops in from off-screen and decides whether your spin is about to get interesting.

The grid starts at 5 reels by 5 rows with 25 paylines, but it doesn't stay there. As the session progresses, rows unlock dynamically until you're playing on a full 5x10 board with 50 active lines. More rows means more fire ring positions, and fire rings are the entire engine of this game.

Fire rings drop onto reel positions carrying printed multiplier values - the splash preview shows 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 3.5x and 5x sitting on the rightmost columns, with the rings glowing orange against the stone-tablet frame. When the Phoenix triggers, it flies in, screeches, and lands inside one of those rings. Whatever multiplier was printed inside pays out as an instant cash prize. Multiple rings can be in play at once, and the Phoenix can pick more than one per spin (the audio has two distinct picker animations for a reason).

The cash ladder behind the Phoenix runs much deeper than the splash teaser suggests. There are 15 distinct multiplier rungs: 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 30x, 40x, 50x, 60x, 70x, 80x, 100x, 120x, 150x, 180x and 200x your bet. Above that sits a 5-tier jackpot ladder - Mini 2 at 10x, Mini 1 at 25x, Minor at 100x, Major at 2,000x, and a Grand worth the full 5,000x ceiling. Jackpot tiers are awarded when the Phoenix lands in a jackpot-marked ring rather than a standard multiplier one.

Phoenix feathers feed a separate pot accumulator that fills as you play, and a Bonus scatter triggers the free spins round where the same Phoenix mechanic continues with more rings on screen. No buy bonus, no ante bet - you wait for the bird to show up. Compared to other fantasy-flavoured Light & Wonder builds, this one trades grid complexity for cash-collect intensity, and the dynamically expanding board is the lever that keeps the Phoenix relevant on longer sessions.
