About Montezuma Slot

The hook lives entirely in how the free spins behave. Three or more of the golden Aztec calendar discs anywhere on the reels trigger the round, and the first thing that happens is a wheel spin to decide how many spins you get, anywhere from 3 up to 25. Then the part that actually matters: at the start of every single free spin, a second wheel turns above the reels and locks in a spin multiplier of 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x that boosts everything that spin pays. So the count isn't fixed value, a short run that keeps drawing 10x can outpay a long run stuck on 2x. Land two or more calendar discs during the round and you bank extra spins, all carried at the multiplier you were already on.

There's a floor under all of it. Any feature that finishes paying less than 10x your total bet gets topped up to a guaranteed 10x, so even a flat round walks away with something.

The base game runs on a familiar 30-line setup, and the symbol worth tracking is the red-and-gold step Pyramid. It's the Wild, restricted to the middle three reels, and it stands in for everything except the calendar disc. It's also the top payer in its own right, a full line of pyramids returns more than any other symbol on the board, premiums included. So those middle reels carry the weight twice over: they complete other lines and they hold the richest combination.

The art is warm and gold-lit. A beautiful Aztec Queen in a feathered headdress, a golden ceremonial death mask, a bald eagle, a coiled blue feathered serpent and a green quetzal-feather headdress fill the reels, with the A-K-Q-J royals carved as painted glyphs in purple, orange, gold and blue. The grid sits inside an ornate golden border over a dark jungle backdrop, stone columns flanking each side. It's a 2014 WMS conversion, and you can feel the cabinet origins in the heavy gold trim and the glossy symbol work Light & Wonder keeps running across its older Aztec machines.
