Mr Tain's Fishing Adventures runs the Gates of Olympus playbook. Six reels, five rows, scatter pays mechanic where 8+ matching symbols anywhere on screen creates a win. Winning symbols tumble away, new ones drop in, and the process repeats until nothing connects. Standard Pragmatic formula at this point.
Where it gets interesting is the multiplier range. Random multiplier symbols land during spins and tumbles carrying values of 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, or 500x. When a tumble sequence ends, every multiplier visible on screen gets added together and the total multiplies your sequence win. Land a 250x and a 100x on the same sequence and your win gets a combined 350x boost.
Four or more Golden Fish Scatters trigger 15 free spins. The crucial detail: multiplier symbols that appear during the round accumulate across all spins. A 50x multiplier from spin 3 stays active through spin 15. By the end of a long round with retriggered spins, the combined multiplier total can reach absurd levels.
Retriggering adds 5 more spins for 3+ Scatters during the round. Every extra spin is another chance to stack multipliers onto whatever you've already built. The math is simple - more spins means more multiplier opportunities, and each new multiplier adds to the running total. Six Scatters on the trigger also pays 2,000 coins on top of the free spins.
The ante bet adds 25% to your stake and doubles the chance of landing Scatter symbols. With Scatters as the only way into free spins (besides the 100x Buy Feature), that doubled probability matters. But the max win drops from 5,000x to 4,000x with ante active, and the Buy Feature gets disabled. Same trade-off as other Pragmatic ante games - you choose between cheaper triggers or higher ceilings.
Four progressive jackpots sit on top: GRAND, MEGA, MAJOR, MINOR. Random triggers at the end of base game spins. Higher bets improve your odds, minimum bet thresholds apply. These are contribution pools that reset on win. The jackpots give Mr Tain something Gates of Olympus doesn't have, though they're lottery-rare and don't interact with the base mechanics at all.
Let's be direct about it. This is Gates of Olympus with a fishing theme. Same grid, same scatter pays, same tumble mechanic, same multiplier range up to 500x. The additions are ante bet and progressive jackpots, which are both welcome. Mr Tain replaces Zeus, a pirate ship replaces the temple, golden fish replace lightning bolts as Scatters.
The 5,000x cap is the same ceiling that limits Gates of Olympus. With multiplier symbols reaching 500x individually and stacking across an entire free spin round, the theoretical peak far exceeds the cap. You'll hit the ceiling before the multiplier math runs out of room. That's the trade-off for a game built around persistent, stacking multipliers in a capped environment.
First entry in Pragmatic's Mr Tain character series, which now includes at least three games across different themes and mechanics.
