About Patrick's Luck: Hold The Spin Slot
Three reels shaped like a plus sign - three rows on each side, five down the center. That cross layout gives this one 45 pay ways despite only having three reels, and the center column does most of the heavy lifting. Bright green Irish hillside behind everything, Celtic knotwork on the golden borders, a grinning leprechaun with a clay pipe as the top-paying regular symbol. The fruits filling the lower paytable (cherries, oranges, lemons, plums) wear tiny green top hats, which is a nice touch. Four jackpot banners stack vertically on the left - Grand in red, Major in purple, Minor in green, Mini in blue.
Bonus Coins only land on the outer reels (1 and 3), while the Royal Bonus symbol is locked to the center reel. Getting at least one Coin on each reel fires the Hold The Spin round with 3 respins that reset on every new landing. Inside the bonus, only Coins and Royal Bonus symbols appear. Each empty cell spins on its own. The Royal Bonus is the collector - it sits on reel 2, stays locked for the entire round, and every time new Coins appear on reels 1 or 3, it grabs their values and adds them to its own total. After sweeping, those regular Coins disappear, opening cells for more drops. Jackpot Coins (Mini at 25x, Minor at 50x, Major at 150x, Grand at 1,000x) show up during the bonus and get collected the same way.
There's also a Heap of Coins trigger in the base game. Any single Bonus or Royal Bonus symbol landing gives a random chance to dump enough extra coins onto the grid to force-start the bonus round. The coin pile animation above the reels is decorative only - it has zero effect on when or how the feature fires. No buy bonus, no free spins, no ante bet. The game funnels everything into that one Hold The Spin trigger and how many Royal Bonus collectors you can stack on reel 2 while the outer cells keep feeding them values. Similar to Spooky Coin: Hold The Spin in grid shape, but without the expanding reels.
