About Piranha Trio Slot
Submarine cabin walls, rusted torpedo bays, three cartoon piranhas baring teeth above the reels - this is Ash Gaming going full pop-comic with the underwater predator gag. The Trio engine is what most players coming from Playtech's Gold Trio line will recognise, except the "Gold" prefix is gone here, which usually signals Ash treating Piranha as the lead of a refreshed sub-series rather than another reskin.
Base game is straightforward: 30 fixed lines, left-to-right, with a Lighthouse top symbol paying 50 for five and an Anchor close behind at 40. Starfish, Amphora and Shell sit in the middle tier. Cards round out the bottom. The piranhas themselves never appear as reel symbols. They live above the cabinet in three bubble globes labelled BOOST, MULTIPLY and COLLECT, watching you spin and waiting for scatters.
Three scatters fire the Trio Respins, and this is where the design gets interesting. You get 3 respins with the bet frozen, and 1, 2, or all 3 of the piranha features can activate. BOOST (blue) pumps the value of every coin that lands. MULTIPLY (red) slaps multipliers on top of those coin values. COLLECT (green) sweeps the grid at the end and pays everything out in one hit. Coins come in 5x, 10x, 15x, all the way up to 240x line values, and a Mystery Coin can drop one of the four jackpots instead of a number - Mini at 10x bet, Minor 20x, Major 50x, Grand 1000x. The full Trio state with all three piranhas live is rare and the obvious target.
The Buy Feature button skips straight to Respins for around 50x your stake, which is in line with the rest of the series. The Extra Chance toggle is the softer option: tick it on, pay roughly 20% more per spin, get scatters more often. Whether that maths out long-term depends on how patient you are with the base game, which honestly is a bit thin - the piranhas are the whole reason to play, and the spins between triggers are just bookkeeping until you see three scatters land.
