About Rising Sun Slot

The reels float against a pale dawn-pink sky with traditional Japanese houses, peaked tiled rooftops, and gnarled cherry blossom branches silhouetted along the edges. A geisha in a deep red kimono with traditional updo stands quietly on the right side of the panorama, watching the spins. Each cell sits on a cream rice-paper background, and the logo is painted in red brush-stroke calligraphy. Genii went further than usual on cultural commitment here. Two of the line symbols are actual kanji characters, "福" (fuku, luck) and "大吉" (daikichi, great luck), rendered as ink on bamboo. No card values anywhere on the paytable.

The geisha herself is the Wild, substituting for everything except the two scatters. She does not self-pay and carries no multiplier, so her job is purely to extend line wins. And those line wins start unusually early. The top two symbols, the tiered pagoda and the Japanese dragon, both pay 2-of-a-kind. Pagoda hits at 4 coins for two, 75 for three, 400 for four, and 1,200 for a full line of five.

What sets this game apart is that it runs two separate scatters at once, which is rare. One is the dedicated Free Spins trigger and also pays small coins, including a 2-of-a-kind crumb. Three scatters award 10 spins, four give you 15, and five hand over 20. Wins are tripled across the entire bonus, retriggers stack on top, and the x3 multiplier is the part you actually want to land. Most slots in this era settled for x2.

The second scatter is something else entirely. It pays only, no feature trigger, but the numbers are loud: 6 coins for two, 85 for three, 600 for four, and 6,000 coins times your total bet for all five. That 6,000-coin top combo is the single biggest payout on the paytable, sitting well above any line symbol. It also pays from just two on the reels, which is uncommon for a non-trigger scatter.

Twenty paylines, but you can scale them down to one if you want to push more coin into fewer lines. Chip sizes are limited to four tiers (1, 5, 10, 25), and the bet ceiling is $25 per spin. No buy bonus, no ante bet, no jackpot wheel. The volatility profile leans high once you account for the tripled bonus and that monster standalone scatter, even though the line caps look moderate on paper.
