About Sanctuary of Darkness Slot
Reels two, three and four lock together during the Free Game and spin as one column. Whatever lands on the middle reel lands identically on the reels either side, so the central three columns of the grid become a single 3x4 block of matching symbols. On top of that, every Character symbol on those middle reels arrives as a mega tile, so a single hit on the Magician or the red-haired vampire Girl smears across the entire middle of the screen. That's the engine the bonus runs on, and it is also why three Scatters only buy you ten spins with no chance to retrigger, the math already assumes the synced reels are doing heavy lifting.
You enter the bonus by landing castle Scatters: three for ten spins, four for fifteen, five for twenty. After that you are stuck with the count you triggered, no extending.
The base game runs flat 1024 ways on a normal 5x4 grid, but the Wild has a quirk worth knowing. There are six Characters in the cast, Magician, vampire Girl, hooded Apostle, Poet, Tomb Keeper and Wolf, and the Wild shows up depicting one of those professions. When the Wild substitutes for a Character that matches its own profession, the win doubles. So a Wild dressed as the Wolf completing a Wolf line pays 2x, while the same Wild standing in for the Magician or any low card pays normally. It is a small rule but it changes how the top-pay symbols play, because the Magician at 200 coins for five-of-a-kind is already the best base win and a matched Wild pushes it to 400.
Visually this is firmly Castlevania territory. A full moon sits behind a silhouetted castle, leafless black branches lean in over the reels, and the symbol frame is twisted dark metal with crowned spires. Each Character portrait sits inside an ornate medallion against its own colour, red for the Girl, purple for the Wolf, green for the Apostle, while the low cards are red stone-carved letters. There is no Buy Bonus, no Ante Bet, no jackpot tier. The whole thing rides on the synced-reel mega hits, which is an unusually narrow design choice from KA Gaming and works better than it should once you actually see a full Magician block land across the middle. A pure vampire build, more atmosphere than menu.
