Superstar Sevens runs on a 6x5 grid with cluster pays - land five or more adjacent matching symbols to score a win. But the cascade mechanic here works differently than most tumble games. When a cluster hits, the game removes every instance of that symbol type from the entire grid, not just the winning group. A six-symbol cherry cluster that shares the board with fourteen other cherries wipes all twenty off the grid in one shot.
New symbols drop in to fill the gaps, and any new clusters trigger another cascade. This keeps going until no new wins form. All payouts during a spin collect in the Total Win Bar and pay out together at the end.
Lightning symbols are where the math gets interesting. Land one alongside a win and the Cascade Counter activates. Every symbol removed through subsequent cascades gets converted into multiplier value - low-pay symbols add 1x per winning cluster, high-pay symbols add 2x. The multiplier grows with each cascade wave, then applies to the entire Total Win Bar at the end of the spin.
On top of the Cascade Counter sits a separate multiplicative multiplier. Epic Lightning symbols carry values of x5, x6, x7, x8, x9, x10, x25, x50, x77, or x100. Only one can land per spin, but when it does, it multiplies the already-multiplied total from the Cascade Counter. So the math becomes: Total Win x Cascade Counter x Epic Lightning.
A decent cascade chain building a 15x Cascade Counter that meets a x50 Epic Lightning creates a 750x multiplier on whatever the Total Win Bar holds. That's the engine behind the 10,000x cap.
Landing all six FS scatter symbols simultaneously in the base game awards 10,000x outright. No calculation needed. This shortcut doesn't work during bonus rounds - only in the base game.
Three FS scatters trigger Reel Charge - 10 free spins with boosted Lightning and Epic Lightning frequency. The base mechanics carry over, so cascade chains still build multipliers, just with more Lightning showing up.
Four scatters jump to Lucky Strike. Same framework as Reel Charge, but a Lightning symbol lands on every single spin. Guaranteed Cascade Counter activation means every free spin has multiplier potential built in.
Five scatters unlock the Hidden Epic Bonus - Juicy Joltz. This keeps Lucky Strike's guaranteed Lightning but makes the Total Win Bar progressive across all spins. Wins accumulate through the entire bonus instead of paying spin by spin. The tradeoff: Epic Lightning symbols don't appear here, so the multiplicative layer is gone. The progressive Total Win Bar compensates by letting cascade multipliers compound across 10+ spins.
All three tiers retrigger with 2 FS (+2 spins) or 3 FS (+4 spins) during the bonus.
BonusHunt FeatureSpins make bonus triggers 5x more likely per spin. Juiced! FeatureSpins guarantee at least one win and one Lightning symbol per spin - useful for steady Cascade Counter builds without committing to a full bonus buy. Direct purchases for Reel Charge and Lucky Strike skip the scatter hunt entirely.
The visual direction is 80s arcade cabinet - neon outlines, chunky fruit symbols, and a dark backdrop that lets the Lightning effects pop. Hacksaw gave it a retro skin but the math model underneath is modern. Released February 19, 2026, Superstar Sevens sits at medium volatility (3/5) with 96.37% RTP. The cluster pays format on a 6x5 grid creates more win combinations than a standard payline setup, and the two-layer multiplier system - Cascade Counter plus Epic Lightning - gives it a clear mechanical identity within Hacksaw's lineup.
