About The Way of The Dead Slot
Free Spins here come with an unusual gate. You can't trigger them from the base game at all, no matter how long you sit on the reels. The only route runs through the Lock&Win respin feature, and even then only a couple of the Book faces will open the door. Landing 6 or more Books on a single spin kicks Lock&Win in, which freezes the rest of the grid and keeps only Book symbols live. Every Book that lands during a respin either carries a cash value or stamps a jackpot tag across its cover: MINI, MINOR, MAJOR, or GRAND. The spin counter starts at 3 and resets to 3 each time a new Book lands, so the feature runs until you go three clean respins in a row.
MINI pays a small cash prize plus 10 Free Spins. MINOR pays a bigger cash prize plus 25 Free Spins. MAJOR is cash only, no spins attached. And GRAND only fires if all 15 positions on the grid fill with Books, which is as hard as it sounds on a 5x3 layout running a 3-respin reset clock. Reveal a MINI or MINOR tag mid-feature and the Free Spins round hooks onto the end of Lock&Win once it closes out. Before the spins begin, the game picks one regular symbol at random and flags it as the expanding symbol for that round. Two or more of it anywhere on the reels during the round makes it stretch across the whole column and pay as if it hit a payline. Land another 6-Book cluster during the Free Spins themselves and you get +10 on the counter.
Anubis flanks the right side of the reels and Bastet the left, both as half-visible statues carved into the tomb wall behind a thin golden cabinet. The backdrop is carved stone pillars crawling with hieroglyphs lit from inside by amber light, which makes the whole grid feel like it's sitting inside a lit crypt rather than in front of a painted one. Card royals are pressed into hieroglyphic stone tiles in the low tier, with Anubis, Bastet, a Pharaoh, and a scarab up top. The Wild is a winged sun insignia that subs for everything except Books.
Buy Bonus is sitting in the menu, though GameArt haven't published the price publicly and the demo's init data is encrypted, so whatever multiplier of your stake it runs at, you'll only see it when you open the panel at a real casino. Max win is in the same boat: there's no published cap, which is genuinely unusual for a 2024-era Egyptian release and suggests the ceiling is gated entirely by that GRAND jackpot scenario. Standard GameArt gamble on wins, toggleable in settings.
