About The Winnings of Oz Slot
The Winnings of Oz brings the whole Wizard of Oz cast to a 5x3 board on 25 lines: Dorothy and Toto, the ruby slippers, the lion, tin man and scarecrow, all laid over a storybook meadow with a rainbow arcing to the green spires of the Emerald City. It's an Ash Gaming title, and the colourful Winnings of Oz logo is the wild, topping the paytable at 2,000x the line bet, which across 25 lines works out to about 80x your total stake rather than the headline figure.
There's a decent amount going on. Three Glinda coins open the Free Spins, which layer in a Super Spin feature and a Yellow Brick Road that steadily walks you toward the Wizard and the Emerald City. There's a re-spin feature in the base game too, and a castle path bonus. The real target is the Wizard Bonus, where you confront the green-faced Wizard and pick a wish: choose right and you win the Winnings of Oz progressive jackpot. Like all progressives it reads as unavailable in the free Playtech demo, the meter showing just dashes, since it only pays for real money.
So this is really a jackpot slot with the base game and free spins acting as the road to the Wizard, and that shapes how you should read it. There's no fixed headline max win published, the progressive is the ceiling, and the reels alone cap out modestly.
The big problem is the maths. At 90.91% the RTP is genuinely poor, one of the lowest you'll come across, well below the 96% norm and low even for an old jackpot game. That's the price of funding the progressive, but it means the base game gives back very little. As a nostalgic Wizard of Oz demo the features are fun to explore, but for real money the RTP alone is reason to look elsewhere unless the jackpot is all you're after.
