Fazi put the interest elsewhere: three mystery progressive jackpots that feed off a sliver of every bet and can land on any spin, plus a red-or-black gamble waiting after every win. Sunny Emerald Isle postcard, played straight. The reels sit in a thick gold frame over rolling green hills with a stream cutting between them and a rainbow washed across the entire sky behind. A big numeral 5 is stamped into the grass on either side of the frame, in case the line count slipped your mind. Down in the corners there is a snail on a leaf and a stone path climbing out of view, small touches in a background that otherwise never moves.

Symbol art is bright cartoon work: a pot brimming with coins, a green top hat with a red band and a clover pinned to its gold buckle, a buckled shoe, a horseshoe sprouting clover, and woodgrain-textured royals in red, purple, blue and green. The leprechaun himself is all ginger beard and popping green eyes, tipping his hat, and he arrives inside his own violet-backed frame so you spot him the instant he lands. Stock Irish iconography, and the game makes no attempt to hide it. Clean, loud, a little dated.

Spins are quick and the board is tiny, so the rhythm lands closer to a pub cabinet than a modern video slot. Most spins resolve into nothing or into a few pennies off three royals. Nothing fills, nothing collects, nothing accumulates in the background to occupy you between hits. The tension, such as it is, comes from watching for one thing.

That makes the leprechaun the entire emotional arc of a session. He turns up alone on a reel often enough to pay a small handful of lines and keep the balance ticking over, and the jump from one wild reel to two is the moment the game actually gets going. It does not happen often. Through a long stretch without him you are staring at horseshoes and letters while the jackpot meter creeps upward a fraction at a time, and that will probably feel thin to anyone used to feature-stacked releases. In short bursts it holds up fine. Over an hour, the absence of anything to chase starts to show.

What Fazi built here is a bar-top slot with a network jackpot bolted on, and it is honest about being exactly that. The expanding leprechaun is sound design for a 3x3 board, the gamble gives you something to do with a small win, and the three progressives are the only argument for betting above the minimum. Strip those out and there is very little left to describe.

The return is respectable and the wild does real work, but neither will do much for a player who wants something to chase between spins. Fazi have made better looking games and more inventive ones. What this has going for it is speed and a jackpot meter in the corner of your eye, and on a slow evening that is sometimes enough.
