About Vikings go to Valhalla Slot
The Ragnarok Wheel is the rule that breaks this slot out of standard Free Spins territory. It spins at the close of every bonus round, and every reel landing on a gold field nudges a marker one ring closer to the centre. Reach the centre and Ragnarok Free Spins fire. Hit a black field and the round ends, but here is the part most slots do not have: that black field permanently flips to gold for the next time the wheel runs at the same bet size. The state lives across sessions. Each of the 90 fields is tracked separately for every bet level, starting with 20 gold per level and only ever growing. Grind at one stake long enough and a Ragnarok trigger becomes near-guaranteed. Hop bet sizes and you start fresh on each.
Underneath the reels four circular portraits of the Vikings - Erik the Red, Bjorn, the Old Sage and the blue-painted Shieldmaiden - each carry their own Rage Meter. Wins on a specific Viking add 1, 2 or 3 rage points depending on whether the combo hit 3, 4 or 5 of a kind. Sixteen points triggers that warrior's Berzerk Respins. The chosen Viking turns into a sticky Wild on every land for the entire respin round, which only ends when no new battle is won or the grid fills. New players also get a head start: 8 free rage points dropped onto a random Viking on first launch.
Three scatters anywhere in the base game pay 7 Free Spins, four pay 14, five pay 21. Before the round opens a bonus selector hands out 1 to 4 random extras: a permanently Berzerk Viking for the session, +1 or +2 spins, a sticky Wild seeded on the grid, an entire sticky Wild reel, or extra Treasure Chests on reel 5. Vikings then fight Jormungandr the World Serpent every spin, winners convert to sticky Wilds, and conversions stack across the round.
Treasure Chests only ever land on the rightmost reel, paying 2x to 500x bet cash in base game plus a chance to award Ragnarok Free Spins directly. The Buy Bonus splits into three unusually staggered tiers: 7x bet for one Wheel round, 80x for Free Spins capped with a Wheel turn, or 330x for Ragnarok Free Spins where all four Vikings are simultaneously in Berzerk mode for 7 spins. Bet sizes for Berzerk Respins are calculated as the average of all stakes used while collecting that Viking's rage, so dropping your bet mid-grind does not penalise the payout. The studio later carried this engine forward into Vikings Go To Vegas Wild Fight, swapping the snow-and-mountain palette for casino floor neon.
The cabinet sits in heavy dark wood and bronze against a snow-dusted Norse mountain pass with ravens perched on the upper frame corners. Card slots are gone, replaced with intricately knotted shields in red, purple, green and blue. Torch glow flares orange across the reels on every win.
