Wild Streak Gaming built 7 Clovers of Fortune around their Connect & Collect mechanic, and it works differently from most hold-and-win games. Instead of filling a grid with sticky symbols, you build chains. Adjacent Connect & Collect symbols link from left to right across the reels, and the chain's destination determines your reward. It is the third game to use this system, distributed through Pragmatic Play.
Six reels, 1,875 ways to win, but the layout is uneven. Reels 1, 2, 4, and 5 have five symbol positions each. Reel 3 shrinks to three regular positions plus two special slots at the top and bottom. Reel 6 sits off to the side as a bonus column holding only special symbols: free spins triggers, jackpot awards, money values, and Add Wilds. The 5x5x3x5x5 arrangement looks odd at first glance. It creates an hourglass-like shape where reel 3 acts as a bottleneck, and the two special positions there are where Connect & Collect chains unlock their rewards.
Connect & Collect symbols carry random money values between 0.4x and 50x your total bet. They land on reels 1 through 5 in standard positions. For the values to pay, symbols need to form an adjacent chain starting from reel 1, touching horizontally or vertically. A chain that reaches reel 3's special positions triggers whatever award sits there - could be a money value (2x to 160x), respins, Add Wilds, or free spins. Push the chain all the way to reel 6 and you hit the bigger prizes.
The respin feature gives 5 spins. All Connect & Collect symbols already on the grid stick in place. New ones that land also lock, and every new lock resets the spin counter back to 5. Standard hold-and-win territory, but reaching it through a chain rather than landing 6+ symbols feels different.
Three routes into the bonus: chain to a Free Spins symbol on reel 6, land 3/4/5 scatters for 7/10/15 spins, or buy in at 100x your bet. The buy guarantees a chain reaching reel 3's special position plus at least one reel 6 position with a Free Spins symbol on it. The Free Spins symbol itself shows your awarded spin count - 7, 10, 15, 20, or 25 spins are all possible.
RTP shifts slightly between regular play at 96.47% and the buy feature at 96.52%. Not a meaningful difference.
Three tiers, all based on your total bet: Minor pays 20x, Major 100x, Grand 4,000x. These are fixed amounts, not progressive. The Grand can also trigger randomly at the end of any base game spin, which adds a lottery element to sessions that would otherwise depend entirely on chain-building.
Hit frequency sits at 29.24%, so roughly one in three spins returns something. That is decent for a high volatility game. The 4,454x cap limits the ceiling compared to competitors, though - many modern high-vol games reach 10,000x or higher. And the Connect & Collect mechanic, while interesting the first time you encounter it, plays similarly across all Wild Streak Gaming titles that use it. If you have played Firebird Spirit, the core loop here is familiar.
The Irish theme is well-executed if predictable - leprechaun, rainbows, clovers, pot of gold. Nothing wrong with it, just nothing you have not seen before. Where the game stands apart is in the unusual grid shape and the multi-path bonus access. Building chains across that narrowed reel 3 adds a spatial puzzle element that standard slots lack.
