Bandit Bust Bonus Buy Slot Overview
A masked outlaw shoots his way across a Wild West train robbery, and every bullet that lands on a Wild pushes that Wild's multiplier up by one. That shooting gallery is the whole game. The reels underneath are an ordinary 5x3 with 25 fixed lines paying left to right, and the paytable is small enough that a spin without the bandit turning up rarely amounts to anything.
This is the buy edition of Bandit Bust, released a few weeks behind the original in March 2024. Grid, symbols, features and the 96.00% base return all carry over untouched. What changes is a red Bonus Buy tab on the left rail with three price tiers, and the fact that buying moves the return in ways the prices do not advertise.
Theme & Design
Sunset ochre everywhere. The reels sit in a plain wooden frame with scrolled brass corners, floating over a desert valley where a single railway track runs off toward the mesas, a saloon slumps on the left and a watchtower leans on the right. Cacti dot the foreground, a bird circles the haze. It is a calm, almost sleepy backdrop for a game about armed robbery, and the contrast works better than it should.
Symbol art splits cleanly in two. The royals are carved from painted wood in green, red, blue, teal and purple with gold caps, while the premiums are stolen luggage: a red gladstone bag, a green strapped suitcase, a blue clasp purse with a floral print. Two portraits in circular gold frames sit above them, a moustachioed gambler in a top hat with a cigar clamped in his teeth, and a woman in a wide brim hat pinned with a purple rose. The Bonus is a red steam locomotive. Jesse Dalton himself, red bandana and a revolver in each hand, only shows up for the title card and the Wild Bandit event. Warm, clean, and about as safe as frontier art gets.

Features & How They Work
Bonus Buy: three prices, three different returns
Three purchase options sit behind the tab: 10 free spins for 55x the total bet, 12 for 78x, and 15 for 120x. Each one runs its own return. The 10 spin buy pays back 96.24%, the 15 spin buy 96.02%, and the 12 spin buy 95.78%, which is below the 96.00% a player gets by not buying at all.
So the middle tier is the trap. It costs 42% more than the cheapest option to add two spins, and it returns the least of any way to play this game. The 15 spin buy at least earns its price by handing the collection bar more chances to fill. Purchases work only from the main game, and the button is stripped out entirely in markets that ban feature buys.
Wild Bandit
At any point in the base game or the bonus, the bandit rides in and scatters 1 to 6 Wilds across the reels. Six shots follow, and every shot that connects with a Wild raises that Wild's multiplier by one. Wilds stand in for all symbols apart from the Bonus train and the Golden Safe.
Multipliers apply to the payline the Wild sits on, and when two or more boosted Wilds share a line their values are added rather than multiplied. Addition keeps a firm lid on things, which is why the big numbers need the free spins version of this event rather than the base game one.
Free Spins and the Bandit Collection
Three, four or five Bonus trains award 10, 12 or 15 free spins at the triggering bet. A three sector bar runs above the reels, and each Wild Bandit event during the round fills one sector. Fill all three and the round gains 8 extra spins plus a second revolver cylinder.
The cylinders are where the escalation lives. One cylinder is the standard 1 to 6 Wilds and 6 shots. Two makes it 2 to 8 Wilds and 12 shots, three gives 3 to 10 Wilds and 18 shots, and four tops out at 4 to 12 Wilds and 24 shots. Three fills is the cap, so the best case is 24 added spins with a fully loaded fourth cylinder; from there the bar stops tracking and Wild Bandit simply keeps firing at the top rate.
Safe Break
A Golden Safe drops onto reel five during free spins, then blows open. Inside is either a cash award of 2.5x, 5x, 10x or 20x the bet, added straight onto that spin's win, or an extension of 2, 3, 5 or 8 spins. Small feature, modest payouts, but the spin extensions count for more than they look worth, because a longer round means more Wild Bandit triggers and more movement on the collection bar.

How Bandit Bust Bonus Buy Plays
Base game spins are quiet. Five of the best premium is worth 25x the total bet and the royals pay pennies, so line wins mostly slow the bleed. The session really only has two states: waiting for the bandit, or watching him shoot. That second state is short, and it is the only part of a base spin worth looking at (the animation never varies, and it still lands).
Free spins change the rhythm because two clocks run at once, the spin counter ticking down and the collection bar creeping up. A round that fires two Wild Bandit events in its opening spins feels nothing like one that fires none, and the distance between those outcomes is the whole tension of the bonus.
Buying compresses all of that into bursts. Ten spins at 55x is a fast, unforgiving loop where the bar usually stalls at one or two sectors and the round ends before the cylinders ever escalate; that is the honest median result, not a bad luck story. Fifteen spins gives the collection room to breathe, which is probably why the price climbs so steeply. The 12,548x ceiling wants a maxed cylinder throwing double digit Wilds onto several lines at once, and most players will likely never see a spin shaped like that.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Wild Bandit fires in the base game as well as the bonus, so multipliers are not locked behind a purchase
- Three buy tiers rather than one, and the cheapest is the one priced above base RTP
- The Bandit Collection gives free spins something to build toward beyond the spin counter
- Safe Break can stretch a round by up to 8 extra spins
Cons
- The 78x buy returns 95.78%, under the base game's 96.00%, and only adds two spins over the cheapest option
- Thin paytable: five of the top symbol pays 25x total bet, so wins without Wild multipliers barely register
- Nothing new over the base title beyond the button; art, symbols, features and payouts are identical
Is Bandit Bust Bonus Buy Worth Playing?
Same game, same art, same math underneath, so the only question is whether the button earns its keep. It does, at one price. The 55x purchase for 10 spins returns more than sitting in the base game does, and a failed bonus at that cost is cheap enough to shrug off and go again.
The rest is a one idea game, and the idea is decent: a random event a player actually wants to see, with a bonus that slowly arms it. The paytable is too thin to carry a session alone, so a round where the bandit shows up once ends flat and there is no consolation in the line wins. And the original sits right next door at the same 96.00%, with nothing on the rail to tempt anyone.
