Less charming: five of the eleven symbols are card ranks with tiny green shoots sprouting off them, and they occupy most of the grid most of the time. Pretty lettering does not make A-K-Q-J interesting. The golden eggs are the real visual anchor, big glossy things sitting in leaf nests with their values printed across the shell.

Sessions here run in two speeds. The base game is slow and largely uneventful, a lot of lettered symbols and the occasional 5x line hit, punctuated by single eggs landing with a little chime that means nothing on its own. Two eggs on screen, three, four, and you start counting without meaning to. Then the reels move on and you were never close.

Beanstalk Magic Treasures is a well-dressed hold and win with a smart wrinkle. The Grand Reel unlock at twelve eggs turns a mechanic that usually just tallies numbers into something with an actual finish line, and the multiplier outcome is the sort of thing that makes a screenshot worth taking.

What surrounds it is much weaker. The base game has no ideas at all, and the free spins are a functional trigger rather than a feature, which is a fair criticism whatever the marketing says about layered bonuses. Add an RTP just under the usual mark and the case for grinding this one at base bet gets thin quickly.

Buy the 28x bonus and it is a decent game. Spin it flat and you spend a long time watching lettered symbols while a castle glows prettily off to your right.
