About Eagle Gold: Hold & Win Slot
The opening shot tells you everything: a colossal spectral eagle with glowing white eyes hangs over a midnight desert canyon, wings dissolved into the starfield. Three smaller spirit eagles in red, green and blue circle below, each one tied to a specific role you'll learn the hard way. The 5x4 grid sits low in the canyon, low-pay 10/J/Q/K/A stacked next to a moose, an owl and a wolf, with the standard bald eagle looking out from his perch above the title.
The interesting part is what Octoplay calls a Hold & Win isn't really one. The base game is a cluster mechanic. Golden Coins land carrying 1x to 10x cash values, and any adjacent Coins lock together as a linked group for 3 spins. Every new Coin that joins the cluster resets that timer. The clusters also persist across sessions, but only at the same stake, so closing the game and coming back at a different bet wipes whatever you had building.
Three Special Eagles operate on those clusters in a fixed order whenever multiple land in one spin: Increase first, then Double, then Collect. The Collect Eagle is always there from spin one. The Increase Eagle adds 1-N adjacent Coin copies and unlocks at Eagle Progress Level 1, which takes 25 spins. The Double Eagle multiplies every cash value in a cluster by two and needs 50 spins to unlock. So the engine ramps. Your first 25 spins play with one tool, then two, then all three, and the progress bar at the bottom of the reels tracks each one separately.
The actual Hold & Win mode is where the math gets loud. Three respins, Coins and Eagles only, and the grid physically expands from 5x4 to a 6x6 board the moment it triggers. Suddenly you have 36 positions to fill instead of 20, and that extra real estate is what makes the jackpot ladder work: Mini at 25x for 10 locked symbols, Minor 50x for 20, Major 100x for 25, Grand 250x for 30, and Ultimate 5,000x if you fill every single position on the expanded board. The mode auto-ends on a full board.
There's no direct Hold & Win purchase. The only paid shortcut is Double Chance at 1.4x stake, which roughly doubles trigger frequency without touching the bonus itself. Max win caps at 6,001x, and the 92.70% return tier is honest about what kind of session this is - the persistent cluster state is the hook, not generous math. If you've played Serpent Gold 2 the 6x6 expansion and 5-tier jackpot will feel familiar; the cluster locking and three-eagle progression is what Octoplay added on top.
