The base game is quietly compulsive because of how the wind works. A single wild is mildly interesting; two wilds landing together is genuinely exciting, because you know the spread will be twice as far and each new wild raises the next gust again. Watching a grid slowly whiten is the game's best sequence and it costs nothing extra to see.

The paytable supports it too, with 150x for a large cluster of the top symbol and 25x even for the low ones, so ordinary clusters are worth something.
