About Fortune Five Slot
Five years before the Double, the Christmas reskin, the 20-line variant and the Fortune Bet operator cut, there was this. The original 2021 cabinet that Gamebeat kept reaching back into and rebuilding. Strip away every later addition and you land here: red wallpaper with painted flame licks climbing the bottom corners, a gold-trimmed reel set, a chunky cinnabar 7 squeezed between watermelon wedges, lemons, grapes and one stubby cherry.
Five fixed paylines on a 5x3 layout. No Double symbols, no x2 stamps, no extra paying tier on top of the wild. Symbol 0 is a pure substitute and pays nothing on its own, which is the cleanest split between this base game and the later Double sibling (where the wild slot got promoted into the top-paying icon). Six paying symbols, with cherry doing the 2-of-a-kind work at 5 coins and the 7 / BAR pair capping the line table at 500 coins for a full row. The mid fruits, watermelon, plum, orange, all share the same 200-coin five-of-a-kind ceiling, so once you clear past cherry the math flattens out fast.
The scatter (a gold star on a coin) pays 2 / 10 / 50 for three, four or five anywhere, and three of them also feed the Bonus Game where the three-tier jackpot lives. That meter sits pinned across the top of the cabinet in three coloured tabs: MEGA 1,000, MAJOR 200, MINI 20 at the 1.00 default stake. Worth squinting at the ceiling: max win is 1,004x. Yes, 1,004x. The MEGA jackpot sits at 1,000x and the cap clears it by a four-coin shrug, the same kind of just-barely margin that Fortune Five Double pulled with its 1,280x over MEGA. So in practice the Bonus Game's top tier IS the top of the game.
Post-win gamble is the only volatility lever, and the 1.00 default stake (ten times higher than the Double variant's 0.10) tells you who Gamebeat was tuning this one for: not penny chasers, casual mid-stake fruit players who wanted the cabinet without the gimmicks. Five years and five spinoffs later, nobody touched the base.
