About Fortune of Flint: Back for Gold Slot

The first Fortune of Flint shipped late last year with a 15,000x ceiling and the same crew of skulls and Captain Flint mugging from a cartoon pirate ship. Back for Gold is the follow-up, and the most obvious change is one a returning player will notice immediately: the top end has been cut to 5,000x. In exchange, Gamebeat folded in a four-tier in-game jackpot ladder (Mini, Minor, Major, Mega) plus a Mystery Jackpot coin that pays a randomised amount when it lands. Whether that trade reads as a downgrade or a wider hit distribution depends on how often you actually chase max wins.

The reels sit on a weather-beaten ship deck against a cloudy sky, with Captain Flint himself, pistol cocked and grinning, painted onto the Wild banner that runs the full height of a reel. When a Wild lands it expands to cover the whole column and brings a multiplier between x2 and x10. The interaction worth knowing: if two expanding Wilds land and both touch the same winning line, their multipliers stack on that win rather than picking the higher of the two. A x4 and a x9 on the same payline becomes x36, not x9.

Three Treasure Map scatters award 10 free spins, four give 15, and five hand over 25. The bonus is where the skull modifiers earn their keep. Add Skulls drop a flat coin value onto the board, Multiply Skulls multiply whatever coins are present, and both have Sticky variants that lock in place and keep compounding every remaining spin. Land a Sticky Multiply early and the next ten or fifteen spins all run through it.

The Golden Spot side-bonus is a short Hold and Win respin round triggered by Golden Spot symbols on specific reel positions. You get three respins, and every new spot that lands resets the counter back to three. It is where the four jackpot coins live, so a full-board fill on the Mega tier is the 1,000x payout your bet sheet keeps quietly referring to.

There is no buy bonus on this title. The feature menu has the option greyed out, so scatters and Golden Spots are the only routes in. For a sequel that trimmed the volatility ceiling, the layered skull-modifier interactions during free spins are doing most of the heavy lifting now.
