About Frozen Inferno Slot

Before the first spin, the game makes you pick a side. Two wizards face off in the mode selector, one frosted blue, one engulfed in flame, and your choice dictates which BASE GAME runs for the rest of the session. Frozen and Inferno aren't reskins. They run different wild engines. In Frozen mode, any ICE symbol turns into a Frozen Wild and STICKS to its position, sitting there spin after spin until the bonus triggers, with new Frozen Wilds piling on top of the old ones as the grid slowly fills. Inferno mode does the opposite. Every Fire becomes a Roving Wild, and on EVERY subsequent spin each Roving Wild slides one position to an adjacent square. Wilds migrate around the board instead of locking down. Changing your bet wipes either layout, which is what the warning dialog is there for.

So the choice is whether you'd rather build a slow accumulating wall of sticky wilds or chase a constantly shuffling pattern. The bonus trigger is the same on both sides: a Bonus symbol (Ice in Frozen, Fire in Inferno) landing AFTER 4 wilds are already on the grid. What it gives you is unusual. Unlimited free spins, but the round ends after exactly 5 WINNING spins, not 5 total spins. You might sit in there for 7 spins or 25, however long it takes to collect 5 wins. Bet locked at the triggering stake, no retrigger.

The bonus also runs on its own reel set with HYBRID symbols, so Frozen and Inferno icons can land together and pay on the same payline. Then there's the reel flip. The first winning spin flips the leftmost original-mode reel into the opposite mode's reel. The next win flips reel two, and so on across the grid. By the time all 5 reels have switched, you've collected your 5 wins and the round closes. Here's the part that catches people: whichever mode you came IN with, you leave with the opposite. A Frozen-triggered bonus drops you into Inferno base play. An Inferno-triggered bonus puts you in Frozen. The free spins round is the only way to switch sides mid-session.

The art's a 2016 WMS / Scientific Games piece (now under Light & Wonder), a hooded wizard with his face cut straight down the middle, pale ice on the left, burning red on the right, potion bottles racked along each flank and two pedestals below holding the wild totems. The cavern shifts from cold blue light on one side to firelit orange on the other. 250,000 cash cap at the top, no buy bonus, no ante, no progressives. The whole design rests on that opening choice and the way the bonus drags you across to the other side of it.
