Fruit Super Nova 30 Slot Overview

A fruit machine with nothing bolted on. Fruit Super Nova 30 drops cherries, plums and lemons onto a glowing arcade cabinet, runs 30 fixed lines across five reels and four rows, and leaves it at that. There is no wild, no free spins, no bonus round and no buy button. A flaming star Scatter pays from anywhere, and it triggers nothing.

What makes it worth a look is the family it sits in. Evoplay has now built this same slot four times, adding paylines each round: Fruit Nova with five lines, Fruit Super Nova with twenty, this one with thirty, then Fruit Super Nova 100. Every step up in lines is paid for by cutting the per-line paytable by roughly the same factor. Twenty lines to thirty is a 1.5x increase, and the top symbol drops from 250x to 170x, which is almost exactly a 1.5x cut. The ceiling barely moves.

Theme & Design

The cabinet is the whole look. Reels sit inside a moulded orange shell that glows like hot metal against a black surround, with a dot-matrix marquee across the top spelling TIME TO START in amber bulbs. Behind the symbols the strips are deep aubergine purple, split by thin gold dividers. The fruit is thick-outlined and glossy in the old bar-top style: a blue plum with a single green leaf, a fat orange, twinned red cherries, a wedge of watermelon, a lemon, a bunch of purple grapes. The golden apple that pays best is the only symbol with any weight to it, a solid metal thing with a brown stalk, and the Scatter is a five-pointed star sitting in a lick of orange flame.

Before the reels appear the game flashes a burning frame stuffed with golden apples and a MEGA WIN marquee, promising x5100. That is about as much drama as it gets. Four rows on a cabinet this narrow makes every symbol a bit small, and the art is carried over wholesale from the rest of the family, so anyone who has played the 20-line version will not find a single new pixel here. The soundtrack is a plinky arcade loop most people will mute inside five minutes.

Features & How They Work

Thirty fixed lines

All 30 lines are always active and cannot be switched off. The stake ladder runs from 0.10 to 75, and one detail nobody else covering this game seems to have noticed is that the 30 lines are payline patterns rather than a stake multiplier: the total bet is the figure on the bet display, not that figure times thirty. Which means every coefficient in the paytable, line wins and scatter wins alike, is measured against the same number.

Wins pay left to right starting on reel one, and only the highest combination on each line counts, so a five-symbol run replaces the three-symbol win sitting inside it rather than adding to it. Four rows gives the reels room to drop the same fruit in short stacks, and that is where the multi-line hits come from.

The flaming star Scatter

Three, four or five stars anywhere on the grid pay 2x, 10x or 50x the bet, and they do not care about paylines or position. That is the only rule in the game that bends the usual left-to-right requirement.

It is worth being clear about where the star actually sits, though, because the marketing leans on it: at 50x for five it pays less than a single line of five golden apples at 170x. The star is a convenience rather than the big money. What it does well is turn spins that produced no line at all into something, which on a game with no feature to wait for is a real contribution.

No wild, no bonus, no ladder

Nothing substitutes, nothing multiplies, nothing collects. Every win here is an unassisted run of matching fruit or a scatter of stars. And the 5,100x cap is not an abstraction: thirty lines paying 170x each comes to exactly 5,100x, so the advertised maximum is literally the grid filling with golden apples and every line hitting at once. There is no free spins round, no respin, no jackpot and no bonus buy, which means that ceiling is a pure base-game event with nothing helping you toward it.

How Fruit Super Nova 30 Plays

It pays on about 14% of spins, roughly one in seven, and most of what pays is loose change. Three low fruits on a line return 0.7x the bet, so the spin costs more than the win. A good share of what the counter registers as a win is technically a loss. The balance drifts down in small steps with the odd flat patch, and that is what low-medium volatility looks like when there is no feature holding the session together.

Nothing accumulates. No counter creeps toward a trigger, no wild that might land in the right column, so each spin resolves on its own and the next starts from zero. Pacing is quick (Evoplay runs it on their Spinential engine and claims 10x faster loading), autoplay sits right under the reels, and the game is clearly built to be run fast in the background. That flatness is probably the point rather than a flaw. It does mean the only two moments with any pulse are a star dropping onto the third reel and the golden apple starting to stack.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • 5,100x is the highest ceiling in the Fruit Nova family, and the maths behind it is transparent
  • Scatter pays from any position, so dead spins can still return something
  • Loads and spins fast, comfortable on autoplay
  • Nothing to learn, no rules to keep track of

Cons

  • Sessions have no arc at all, since there is nothing to trigger or build toward
  • Low fruits pay 0.7x for three, so many registered wins return less than the spin cost
  • Art, symbols and sound are carried straight over from the other versions
  • The extra ten paylines are funded by a smaller paytable, so the cap moves almost not at all

Is Fruit Super Nova 30 Worth Playing?

5/10

The one number worth remembering is 5,100x, the highest cap in the whole Fruit Nova family, edging the 5,000x that both the 20-line and 100-line versions carry. That is a two percent difference. Trivia, not a reason to pick this one over its siblings.

Take the series away and what is left is a well-built fruit machine with a paytable, a Scatter and nothing in between them, competently drawn and quick on its feet. The reason it exists is that operators wanted another line item in the lobby and Evoplay had the template sitting there. Fair enough as far as it goes, and yes, we have all played a dozen of these. But four versions of one slot is about three more than the idea needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum win in Fruit Super Nova 30?

5,100x the total bet, which comes to 382,500 at the top stake of 75. It is the highest ceiling of any game in the Fruit Nova series, just ahead of the 5,000x on Fruit Super Nova and Fruit Super Nova 100, and it works out to all thirty paylines hitting five golden apples at once.

Does Fruit Super Nova 30 have free spins or a bonus round?

No. The game has seven regular symbols and a Scatter, and the Scatter only pays a prize. There are no free spins, no respins, no wild, no multipliers and no bonus buy.

What is the RTP and volatility?

The RTP is 96.03% with low to medium volatility and a hit frequency of about 14%, so roughly one spin in seven returns something. Individual casinos occasionally run different RTP builds, so check the in-game rules on the site you play at.

How much does the Scatter pay?

Three, four or five flaming stars anywhere on the grid pay 2x, 10x or 50x the bet, with no payline or position requirement. It is useful rather than huge: five stars pay less than a single line of five golden apples.

Can I play Fruit Super Nova 30 for free, and is there an age limit?

The demo runs with play money and needs no deposit or registration. Real-money play is restricted to players aged 18 or over, or 21 in some jurisdictions, and slots are entertainment rather than a way to make money.
