Arriving just in time for Halloween in October 2026, Amigo Gaming's Spooky Sweets is a fun, festive slot that fans of the studio will probably recognize right away. It shares the scatter-pays layout and the "three bonuses behind one door" mechanic of the studio's Fortune Spores, on a smaller board and with a cheaper buy.

Spooky Sweets 5x5 board with three glowing pumpkins on reels 1, 3 and 5 under the purple, orange and green candy characters labelled Free Games, Pick'em and Pin Win
Three pumpkins on reels 1, 3 and 5 and the game asks you to pick one. Whatever token is hiding inside decides the room, not you.

How the Bonuses Work

The main gimmick here is the blind bonus draw. If you land three pumpkins on the odd-numbered reels, you pick one of them, and the token hidden inside (purple, orange, or green) decides which of three bonus rooms you get: Free Games, Pick'em, or Pin Win.

During the base game, you'll also see tokens fly up to three cute candy characters above the reels. A quick heads-up: while this can trigger a bonus randomly, the collection meters are just for show and don't actually change your odds of hitting a feature.

If you don't want to wait around, the Random Bonus buy takes you straight into that pick for 53x your bet. It's a pretty reasonable price for a bonus buy, though you still can't choose which of the three rooms you get, which requires a bit of a leap of faith.

There's just the one product on the shelf. The Random Bonus costs 53x and still hands you the same blind pick between the three rooms.

Inside the Three Rooms

  • Pin Win: This is a classic 5x3 hold-and-win feature. You get three respins that reset every time a pin lands. The pins have flat values up to 30x, plus three jackpots (50x, 100x, or 300x), and there's a 1,000x prize if you manage to fill the whole screen. Because the respins reset so easily, this round can actually last quite a while and gives you a lot of playtime. Just keep in mind that it's highly volatile. In my playthroughs, I got a lot of board coverage, but it was mostly smaller numbers without a jackpot, so it didn't quite cover the cost of my bonus buy.
  • Pick'em: This room gives you a board of twelve pumpkins hiding four fixed prizes: 25x, 50x, 250x, and 1,000x. You keep picking until you match three of the same prize. The round can't end empty. The problem is that the bottom two prizes are lower than the 53x buy-in. It can be a real nail-biter: I actually uncovered two 250x pumpkins before matching three 25x ones. It's a fun mechanic (very similar to Endorphina's Hell Hot 1000), but it can definitely tease you!
  • Free Games: This one is straightforward. You get ten Free Games, and the game completely removes the four lowest-paying symbols from the board. There are no multipliers, and you can't retrigger more spins, but taking the "junk" symbols out of the mix definitely makes it easier to line up decent hits.

Pin Win can get close to a full screen on small pins alone. Three empty cells are all it takes to miss the 1,000x prize.

Spooky Sweets is a really solid, accessible slot. Amigo Gaming leans heavily on this three-room format (you'll see similar setups in their games 3 Spirit Volcanoes Dice and 3 Fat Kings), but scaling it down here works well.

Spooky Sweets Pick'em round with pumpkins opened to reveal blue, green and red tokens under the four prize plaques from 25x to 1,000x
Pick'em is a race between colours. Two greens are already in, so one more cheap green ends it on 25x, whatever the reds are doing.

Compared to Fortune Spores, the grid shrinks from 7x5 to 5x5, and the max win drops slightly to 2,500x. However, the bonus buy price also drops from 80x down to 53x. While the random nature of the bonus draw means you can't control your fate, and you won't always profit on a bonus buy: the lower entry cost and the extended playtime of the features make it a really entertaining option for the Halloween season.
