The name opens with that of Hacksaw's earlier The Luxe, and the headline figures match it too: a 5x4 board, a 96.33% return and a 20,000x max win. This is a standalone, high-volatility slot with a really interesting, and sometimes frustrating, core mechanic.

The Luxe Prestige 5x4 grid in the Crown of Fire bonus with three Colored Frames holding 8x, 5x and 2x multipliers
Crown of Fire hands you three frames before the first spin, so the board already has spots worth aiming a line at.

How It Plays: The Colored Frames

Instead of multipliers landing on the symbols themselves, this game is all about "Colored Frames" that land on specific spots on the grid. These frames hold either a multiplier or a fixed jackpot.

The trouble is, you only get that multiplier if your winning payline actually passes through that exact spot. It's a really cool concept that builds a lot of tension. There is nothing quite like the heartbreak of watching a massive 100x multiplier drop into a frame, only for your winning line to route right around it and pay you nothing.

A 100x frame sitting in the top row, and it's worth nothing until a winning line actually runs through that cell.

The Bonus Rounds

If you land 3, 4, or 5 scatters, you trigger one of the free spin features. All of them give you 10 spins on a richer reel set with more wilds, but they scale up in power:

  • Realm of Flames (3 Scatters / 80x Buy): You get one sticky frame for the whole round that changes its value on every spin. Because you only have one frame, this is highly volatile. I did a bonus buy on this and had a huge multiplier drop, but the lines didn't connect. It's very hit-or-miss: my round paid back less than my buy-in, but the potential is clearly there if the stars align.
  • Crown of Fire (4 Scatters / 250x Buy): This is where things get fun. You start with three sticky frames. Even better, if a multiplier frame is part of a win, its value doubles for the next spin. I watched a 5x frame snowball into a 40x during my session. Again, you're at the mercy of the paylines, but having three frames makes a huge difference.
  • The Dragon's Fall (5 Scatters): The holy grail. This puts a frame on all 20 spots on the board. You can't buy this feature: you have to trigger it naturally. It also doesn't retrigger, but with the whole board covered in frames, this is where that 20,000x max win becomes a real possibility.

Frames that keep landing in wins double each time, which is how a small starting value climbs into the dozens by the last spins.

Feature Buys and High-Roller Options

If you like to pay to play, Hacksaw included a few options. There's a 5x "BonusHunt" mode that boosts your chances of triggering the free spins naturally.

Then there is the wild 2,000x High-Roller mode. If you buy this, scatters are removed from the reels, and you get one single spin with a 1-in-10.38 chance of hitting the game's absolute max win. It's a wallet-draining gamble, but it definitely fits Hacksaw's extreme high-risk/high-reward reputation.

Four cards, two kinds of purchase: the two bonuses are one-off buys, while the FeatureSpins modes charge their price on every spin until you switch them off.

Final Thoughts

The Luxe Prestige is a solid addition to Hacksaw's catalog. Mechanically, it feels a bit like Trials of Zeus (where you also have to connect lines to specific spots to get paid). It's definitely not a game for players who want constant, steady payouts. It asks you to work for your multipliers by connecting regular line wins to them. When it misses, it hurts, but when a premium line finally slices through a massive multiplier frame, it's incredibly satisfying.

A three-sword winning line on the bottom row started by a Wild, with the sticky frame three rows above it
The line paid, the frame sat three rows away, and the multiplier stayed out of it. That's the whole game in one picture.
