Strip away two symbols and this is a plain ten-line fruit machine. Those two symbols are why anyone plays it.

Silver and Gold dollar medallions pay by headcount instead of by payline. Three or more Silver anywhere on the 5x3 grid awards a Fire Prize, and that ladder climbs to 2,000x for a full nine. Five Gold pay 5,000x flat. Everything else is cherries, bells, BARs and flaming sevens across ten fixed lines, left to right, highest win only.

So the instant prize system is bolted onto a Vegas cabinet, and that is the whole design. Free spins double everything including Fire Prizes, there is no buy button in this edition, and any round stops dead at 10,148x.

Evoplay went full classic here: a tall golden cabinet on a curved gold plinth, reels framed in red neon, the whole thing sitting in a dark red room that fades to black at the edges. The marquee above the reels is a bulb-lit strip reading PRESS SPIN until it starts flashing amounts at you. It looks like a real machine, which is the point.

Symbols are drawn cleanly. Cherries with glossy green leaves, fat gold bells, BAR wordmarks in brushed silver, a gold 5 wedged between a B and an R for the 5 BAR. The sevens come wrapped in flame, single, double and triple. The Wild is a gold crown sitting above the word itself, and the Scatter is a FREE SPINS plate on fire. Silver and Gold are both dollar medallions, the gold one textured like woven mesh so the two never blur together mid-spin.

The Fire Prize ladder is pinned to the left of the cabinet, a stack of red plaques with coins piled on top. One choice there is worth flagging: the ladder displays cash, not multipliers. At a 10.00 stake the rungs read 50,000 and 20,000 on the way down, which lands a great deal harder than x5000 and x2000 ever would. Handsome work, though nothing here has been designed so much as assembled from the standard red-and-gold parts bin.

Two numbers sit oddly beside each other: a 43% hit rate, and a high volatility rating. Games that pay on nearly half their spins do not usually get described that way.

The paytable resolves it. The bottom of the symbol set pays 0.2x, 0.3x and 0.5x for three of a kind, so on a fixed ten-line stake a large share of those frequent hits return less than the spin cost. A 3.00 return on a 10.00 spin still registers as a win. The counter lights up, the machine makes its noise, and the balance keeps sliding. That is the texture of a session here: constant activity, almost no accumulation.

Which means the waiting is not for a payline at all. It is for Silver count. Three or four Silvers turn up often enough to keep the mechanic feeling alive, and they pay so little that they barely move the balance. The shape of a session only changes at eight or nine, and that is a rare grid. Long flat stretches, then either a Fire Prize that matters or nothing. For my money that is a harder ask than it sounds, because the steady drip of small hits does a good job of hiding how quickly the money goes.

The classic shell is competent and completely familiar. Ten fixed lines, no cascades, no ante, no jackpots, nothing you have not spun a hundred times before. What makes it worth loading is the Silver and Gold count mechanic, a different payout logic running on top of the lines rather than through them.

10,148x is a strong ceiling for this kind of game and the doubled Fire Prizes give the free spins a job to do. But the round that should be the highlight cannot produce the 5,000x, and the base game you grind through hands out 0.2x hits by the fistful (a win, technically). Anyone arriving for a modern bonus structure will find a fruit machine with two lottery tickets taped to the side.

Evoplay clearly knew the shell was thin, which is why the prize ladder gets the best real estate on screen. It earns that spot. Just not often.
