Cherries, gold bells and a smirking joker in a purple cap. Jackmaster Fruits is old fruit-machine furniture stretched across a modern 5x4 board: 40 fixed lines, one wild, one scatter, a free spins round and three buy prices. That is the whole game.

It is also the chassis Evoplay reused three months later. Flame of Ra, the studio's July release, runs the same maths to the decimal. Same 95.54% return, same 26.59% hit rate, same 1,450x ceiling, same five payout tiers, same 10, 20 and 30 free spins, same 21x, 42x and 63x buy prices at the same three return rates. Egyptian gods instead of fruit, and nothing underneath changed. Reusing a maths model is ordinary studio practice and no scandal, but anyone who has spun one has spun the other, and that is worth knowing before paying 63x for the same bonus twice.

The base return is 95.54%. Figures of 96.54% and 95.81% are in circulation elsewhere; the first has a digit transposed, the second is the price of a 20-spin buy rather than what the reels run at.

Deep maroon fills the background, with paler gold rays fanning out from behind the reels like a spotlight cutting through smoke. The grid sits in a thin gold frame with scalloped shell corners, and the reel strips behind the symbols are almost black, a purple so dark it makes the fruit glow by contrast.

The joker is the reason to look twice. Purple jester cap with gold bells hanging off the points, a white ruff, green eyes, a blue teardrop painted under one of them, and a grin sitting somewhere between charming and up to something. The rest is the standard fruit parade: a watermelon with a wedge cut from it, plums beaded with water, a lemon and an orange each laid beside a slice, cherries on a shared stem, grapes under a green leaf. Then the metal set, gold horseshoes, a gold bell, a BAR plate in heavy black lettering, and a red 7 with a glass highlight down its spine. Well drawn, all of it, and not one piece of it new. The Free Spins scatter is a red and gold diamond with the words stamped across it, loud enough to catch at speed, which matters when it is the only symbol worth waiting for.

Roughly one spin in four lands something, which sounds generous right up until you check what those somethings are worth. Three cherries hand back a tenth of the stake. Three lemons, the same. The balance drifts down in small steps broken by small returns, and an hour probably passes without much happening in either direction. The turbo hold is not decoration, either; this game plays better fast.

What is left is a wait, though not a tense one, because nothing on the board is building toward anything. No meter fills. No symbol collects. Just spins until three Scatters show up, and when they finally do the round arrives quietly and is over before it has properly registered. The retrigger chain is the only part with any lift in it, which is also the only realistic road to anywhere near 1,450x.

Evoplay publishes no volatility rating for this one, so every figure attached to it is an estimate, including this one: it behaves like a medium. Frequent small returns, a shallow ladder above them, no lurching.

The art is good, the board reads cleanly at speed, and for a certain kind of session that is enough. Load it, hold turbo, watch fruit go past. Evoplay priced the bonus honestly too, and three buy tiers that all return more than the base game is a point in its favour plenty of bigger releases cannot claim.

Underneath that, there is not much game. 95.54% is a weak place to start from, 1,450x is a modest ceiling, and twelve symbols on the reels cannot disguise how few of them are worth landing. Evoplay has made better. This one was built to be a chassis, and it shows.
