About Kingdoms Rise: Chasm of Fear Slot
Chasm of Fear sends a longship through a red-rock sea canyon, and it's one of the stronger entries in Playtech's Kingdoms Rise franchise, mostly because of the RTP. At 97.06% it sits well above the studio's usual jackpot slots. The board is 5x4 for 1,024 ways, matching from the left with no fixed lines, and a gold dragon tops the paytable ahead of a mermaid, a monkey, a warrior, a pirate and a sailor, with coloured gems as the low symbols.
The wild is an octopus wrapped around a treasure chest, and it does two jobs. It substitutes, and it lands carrying a x2 or x3 multiplier, so a wild completing a way multiplies that win outright. A single stacked wild paid me 11.50 euro on a base spin in the demo, which for a 5-euro bet is a decent hit off one symbol.
The features build on that. Respins and free games flood the reels with extra wilds, and the free games also open the board right up, from 1,024 ways to 3,456, so more wilds and more ways land together. Stack the multiplier wilds across an expanded board and that's how you reach the 10,000x max win, high volatility being the price for a ceiling that big.
Like every Kingdoms Rise game it carries the franchise metagame: tokens drop during play, and you collect them to spend in the shared Feature Shop across any game in the series. Four shared progressive jackpots, Power, Extra Power, Super and Ultimate Power, can land on any spin, though they read "Unavailable" in the free Playtech demo since progressives only pay for real money. The demo is the place to feel out the multiplier wilds and the sea-canyon free games rather than to chase the jackpots.
