About Langley Street 23 Slot

The whole base game runs on VHS tapes. They only land on the fifth reel, one at a time, and they never reset - your collection carries from spin to spin at a given bet level, banking toward four unlocks. Six tapes turn on the Mystery symbol, twelve add the Expanding Wild, eighteen bring the Cloning Wild, and twenty-four swap Marvin's old CRT set for the Surveillance TV. Each threshold also hands you a guaranteed re-spin featuring the feature you just earned. So the early spins feel thin on purpose, and the game gets meaningfully stronger the longer you sit at one stake.

That Surveillance TV is the clever bit. It splits into four screens, each tied to one tape type, and filling a screen fires its matching feature: top-left a mystery re-spin, top-right an expanding wild re-spin, bottom-left a cloning wild re-spin, bottom-right a re-spin that guarantees the bonus. The three special wilds are worth knowing individually. The Expanding Wild fills its whole reel and carries two multiplier values, one of which gets picked and applied. The Cloning Wild copies itself into the cell to its left, and if it clones onto an existing wild it stacks their multipliers instead. Any wild can land carrying x2 up to x100, and multipliers on the same reel add together rather than replace.

Three or more BONUS cases start the bonus round, awarding 8, 10 or 12 spins depending on how many landed. Before it begins the game locks you into one of two modes: Sticky Wild, where every wild and expanding wild freezes in place for the whole round, or Sticky Mystery, which does the same for mystery symbols. Multiplier adders keep boosting whatever's stuck, and all four features run unlocked regardless of your tape count. No tapes drop inside the bonus, so the progression pauses while the sticky symbols pile up.

The X-iter menu on the left sells six ways in, from a 2.5x bonus hunt up to a 200x tier that can guarantee two expanding wilds or a five-symbol bonus entry. The 25x option, The Langley Files, buys a single guaranteed feature spin without committing to the full bonus. Around all this sits Marvin himself, a paranoid old man in a red cap glancing at the reels from his dim suburban front room, VHS tapes and case files stacked beside him, symbols built from UFOs, all-seeing-eye pyramids, a green lizard and a spy-pigeon in washed-out blues and browns. It's one of the more characterful grids ELK Studios has put out, and the paranoia reads through every worn edge of it.
