About Love and Riches: Eldorado Slot
This is the Eldorado-themed entry in the Love and Riches series, set in a stone-and-gold Aztec ruin at golden hour, with a Mesoamerican pyramid rising in the distance and a carved tiki idol watching over the right rail. The framing matches the original, a 5x3 reel grid behind a glyph-engraved frame with 25 fixed lines and a jungle parallax that drifts as you spin. What is different here is what the bonus does to the symbol set.
In the base game, the headline mechanic is the Expanding Wild. A regular Wild that lands stretches to cover its full reel and substitutes for paying symbols. That much is standard. The shift happens once the round goes into Free Games. Then any Expanding Wild that lands locks in place for the rest of the bonus, building up Wild coverage on whatever reels it has landed across, while the rest of the grid keeps spinning around it. The longer the round runs, the more reels are pre-covered before the next spin even starts.
The second mechanic only fires during Free Games, and it is the one most reviews skip over. Low-paying gemstone symbols (the green emerald, red ruby, blue sapphire, magenta amethyst pentagons) can upgrade mid-round into the higher-paying warrior icons, the feathered-headdress mask, the spear-carrying warrior, and the carved temple idol. The replacement happens on individual symbols rather than the whole reel, so a single spin's payline can be reshaped from a low pentagon hit into a premium warrior hit at the moment of evaluation. The Buy Feature on the left rail at 820 coins, roughly 66x bet, jumps you straight into that round if you do not want to wait for scatters. The Super Bet stub at 25 coins below is more interesting than most antes: doubling the bet does the usual job of boosting Free Games trigger odds, but it also nudges the upgrade frequency in the base game, so a Super Bet spin is more likely to see a pentagon snap into a warrior before the line is paid.
Five scatters land the maximum 30 spins, fewer scatters land progressively shorter rounds. With Expanding Wilds locking and gemstones upgrading throughout, the long ceiling is 2,525x bet, modest by 2025 standards but consistent with how the Aztec adventure sub-genre tends to pay. The Jackpot Race progressive ticking at the top runs on a time-based countdown rather than a symbol trigger, so it sits parallel to everything happening on the reels.
