The original Pirots had four birds collecting gems on an expandable grid. Pirots 2 keeps that foundation and adds dinosaurs. The parrots discover "Dino World" - the grid starts bigger (6x6 instead of 5x5), amber symbols replace gems, and upgrade levels jump from 5 to 7. The higher ceiling means each amber type can pay more per collection, but reaching level 7 requires more upgrade symbols to appear and land in the right positions.
New feature symbols change how rounds develop. Egg symbols hatch dinosaurs at the end of a game round. The dinosaur scares all birds into new grid positions, triggering a complete redrop. Pending feature releases fire before hatching, so an egg symbol doesn't interrupt an active collection chain - it extends it into a reshuffled grid where new gem clusters might appear.
Meteor symbols (the "Red Button") are the grid expanders. When a bird collects one, a meteor hits at the end of the round, removing nearby symbols and expanding the grid by one row and one column. Two meteors in one round grow the grid twice. At 8x8 max, you have 64 positions - double the original Pirots starting grid and 78% more than this game's 6x6 starting point.
Popcorn symbols solve a problem the first game had: empty spaces between gem clusters. When collected, popcorn fills empty grid positions, creating bridges that let birds cross gaps. Without popcorn, a bird stops collecting when it hits an empty space. With it, the bird can reach clusters on the other side. One popcorn symbol can connect two separate amber clusters into a single collection chain.
Three or more adjacent birds trigger a Fight Cloud - they clash, removing amber symbols in the area and auto-collecting any bonus, coin, egg, or meteor symbols caught in the fight zone. Fight Clouds are chaotic by design: you lose some amber but gain guaranteed feature symbol activations. Whether that trade-off helps depends on what feature symbols were in the fight area.
The collection meter still drives the feature economy. Every 3 amber or wild symbols collected by a bird release feature symbols back onto the grid. Transform symbols convert gem clusters to a bird's color. Upgrade and Upgrade All symbols push amber levels toward the level 7 cap. The loop is the same as Pirots 1 - collect, fill meter, release features, collect more - but the larger starting grid and 7 upgrade tiers stretch that loop further before it runs out of steam.
X-iter options mirror the original: 3x for quadruple bonus chance, 10x for Popcorn Fiesta (popcorn active from start), 25x for max grid, 100x for guaranteed bonus, 500x for Super Bonus. The 10x Popcorn Fiesta is the new option - it solves the empty-space problem from spin one, letting birds traverse the entire grid from the first drop.
