Tokens sit on the grid passively through cascades. Once all winning cycles finish for that spin, every token on screen gets summed and applied to the total win. One difference from Endorphina's later versions of this engine: the clover only appears during free games. In Power Balls, the equivalent lightning bolt feature fires in both base game and bonus. That makes Rainbow Ray's base game slightly less dynamic - cascades still happen from regular wins, but there's no explosive symbol clearing the board between triggers.
