Little Red Riding Hood, retold with a grown-up heroine and a wolf that looks like it means it. The reels are a plain 5x3 with 20 adjustable paylines, and almost everything interesting happens in one place: ten free games where Red Cap's wild swells to fill an entire reel and every win pays triple.

Endorphina put this out in August 2020 and made no attempt to dress it up as more than that. A card-gamble ladder sits behind every win, three mystery jackpots drop at random, and a Bonus Pop button in the left margin sells the free games outright. Top line is 3,000x.

The wolf never gets a mechanic of its own, which is a strange omission in a game built on this particular story.

The forest is painted in cold blues and teals with moonlight bleeding between the trunks, mushroom clusters and pink blossoms crowding the bottom corners, and a mossy fallen log flanking each side of the reels. Those reels sit inside a pale wooden scroll frame with curled ends, over a deep navy panel. The logo rides a gold ribbon banner threaded with red roses.

Character art carries the whole thing. Red Cap is a dark-haired woman in a scarlet hood and white peasant blouse standing against a wall of red roses. The wolf snarls out of a moonlit stand of dead trees, one yellow eye catching the light. The huntsman is a bearded man with an axe over his shoulder, lit green by the canopy, and granny has white curls, round spectacles and a violet backdrop. The scatter is a wicker basket of golden buns tied with a red bow, with BONUS arced over it in gold, and it reads at a glance from anywhere on the grid. Good fairy tale casting.

Then there are the royals. Ten through Ace in gemstone tints, red and blue and gold and purple, filling most of the grid on most spins. That flattens the look, and the portraits barely move until a line lights up, so the forest ends up doing more work than the reels do.

For a game officially labelled high volatility, the base game plays deceptively soft. Royals drop small line hits often enough that the balance bleeds rather than falls off a cliff, which reads as generous right up until you check the number twenty minutes later. Granny and the wolf land regularly. Two baskets turn up constantly. Three do not.

That gap sets the session rhythm. Long flat stretches, then ten fast spins, then flat again unless a retrigger keeps things alive. Inside the bonus it splits further: rounds where the wild keeps catching a reel feel like a different game entirely from the ones where it never lands, and there is nothing in between.

One practical gripe. Win counters ratchet up at a crawl, so a modest hit can leave you watching digits climb for longer than the amount justifies, and turbo mode only partly fixes it.

Red Cap knows exactly what it is: a clean fairy tale slot with one good bonus and nothing else on its mind. The 3x multiplier is what rescues it, because a plain expanding wild round in 2020 would have been thin, and pairing it with 20 lines gives the feature range. For my money the artwork is the reason to pick this over the dozens of other Red Riding Hood slots out there (and yes, there really are dozens).

What it lacks is any reason to come back once the bonus has fired a few times. The base game gives you nothing to track, no collection meter, no building state, no wolf mechanic in a game named after the wolf's story. Fine to spin. Easy to forget.
