About Return Of Ra Slot

The hook hits early. Three Books anywhere on the 5x3 grid open the bonus, and from there one of the nine reel symbols gets picked at random to become the Special Expanding Symbol for the rest of the round. Whenever that chosen symbol joins a win, it inflates to cover its whole reel, and the payout doesn't care about adjacency. Most Saucify-era titles demand left-to-right neighbours; here the Special Symbol counts wherever it lands, so a single chosen card royal can quietly pay across all five reels.

The free spin count is flat. Three, four, or five Books all award the same 10 spins, with no scaling for extra scatters. Retriggers are possible during the round, and the lines stay locked at the triggering bet. The Book itself doubles as Wild and Scatter, but with a wrinkle worth knowing: five Wilds on a line pay as a scatter prize only, not as a top-line combo. During the bonus, Wilds substitute for everything except the chosen Special Symbol, which protects the expansion mechanic from being trampled.

The base game is deliberately stripped down. Ten fixed paylines, no ante, no buy bonus, no jackpot ladder. What it does add is the old-school Gamble ladder, which most modern Egyptian entries have quietly dropped. Pick red or black for a 50/50 double, pick a suit for a quarter-odds quadruple, and chain it up to five times before either banking or losing the lot. A five-card history strip sits beside the choice buttons if you're the type who looks for streaks.

Visually it leans hard on the archetype it's named after. Golden columns, hieroglyph walls, fire braziers, gold coins littering the floor, and a winged sun disc flanking the logo in turquoise and gold. The Book artwork is the centrepiece, glowing orange over a papyrus spread. Nothing here pretends to reinvent the formula; it's a faithful clone with one genuinely unusual rule (the scattered Special Symbol pay) and a Gamble feature most of its peers have forgotten.
