About Safari Slot

A warm gold sunset hangs over the savanna here, acacia trees in black silhouette, the reels resting on cream tiles beneath a carved wooden tribal sign. Big game fills the premium spots: a tusked elephant, a maned lion, a horned buffalo and a rhino. The lower symbols are the kit you'd pack for the trip, binoculars, a pink pith hat, a folded map, a postcard stamped "from Africa with love," and a leather suitcase. It's a sunlit wildlife board, easy on the eyes.

Two symbols carry the whole thing, and they keep to their own reels. The Wild shows up only on reels two through five and stands in for everything but the scatter. The scatter lives on reels one, two and three, pays from any position, and its win gets added on top of whatever the paylines hand you rather than replacing it. Three scatters open 10 free games, and this is where Safari earns its name. During the round the Wild turns up stacked on reels two, three, four and five, dropping in whole or partial columns of wilds. Fill a couple of those reels at once and a single spin can plaster the right side of the grid in substitutes. Catch three more scatters inside the feature and you get another five spins on top.

If you'd rather not wait for the scatters to cooperate, the Bonus Pop button to the left of the reels buys those 10 free games directly, its price scaling with your stake. One thing to know: anything Bonus Pop pays can't be sent to the gamble afterward. That gamble is the standard Endorphina card draw, pick a face-down card to beat the dealer's, double up to ten times in a row, with a joker that beats all and never lands in the dealer's hand. Sitting underneath everything are three network mystery progressives, Grand, Major and Minor, drawn at random with a bigger bet nudging your odds upward.

So the base game is plain lines-and-scatters territory, and the free games are the reason to be here. Whether the round pays depends entirely on how many of those stacked wild columns land while the spins last.
