The name needs sorting out first: there is no wild symbol in this game. None. The 27 is the payline count, and Wild is simply what Fazi calls this family of classic slots.

What that leaves is a 3x3 grid where all 27 possible paths pay, three matching symbols left to right, every winning line added together. One feature sits on top of it, a x2 multiplier when the whole grid fills with a single low fruit. Three mystery progressives tick upward above the reels. That is the whole game.

The reels sit in a crimson night. A haunted house with lit yellow windows stands off to the right, bare branches claw in from the top left, and a fork of lightning hangs frozen behind the logo. Spiderwebs drape the corners of each reel column, a huge pumpkin glows in the bottom-left with a smaller cluster of them on the other side. The Halloween dressing is warm rather than frightening, all orange lamplight and deep red, closer to a decorated porch than a horror film.

Where it gets lazy is the symbols. Cherries, lemons, grapes, oranges, a red 7, a stacked double BAR, a pair of gold bells: this is the standard Fazi fruit set with almost nothing done to it. Two symbols got the holiday treatment, a pair of carved pumpkins and a bat rendered in blue faceted crystal, and they are the only ones that belong to the theme at all. The bells do have a small bat stamped into the metal, which is a nice touch nobody was going to notice. Everything else is a straight lift from the base game.

Sessions here have no shape to them. Nothing builds, no scatter count creeps up, no third-reel anticipation, because a 3x3 grid resolves the instant it stops. Spins land, small wins accumulate, the balance drifts. Low volatility keeps that drift gentle in both directions and long dead stretches uncommon, which is precisely the appeal of the format for people who like the format.

What stands in for a bonus round is the row of meters at the top, and they do more work than they should have to. Watching the Diamond total climb while your own spins return 2x and 16x is the only forward motion on offer. That probably will not hold most players for an hour. But the game is honest about what it is, and a 0.05 minimum makes a slow evening cheap.

Fazi built the format properly. Twenty-seven lines across nine positions pay often enough to keep a small balance breathing, the art is warm and readable, and the full-fruit screen gives a session one thing to hope for that is not a jackpot meter. Underneath that there is one feature and a gamble button, which is thin even by classic-slot standards.

Against its own siblings it finishes third. Wild 27 Extreme pays a slightly better RTP and lets its doubler land on the symbols that actually matter, while plain Wild 27 does this same job the other eleven months of the year. Halloween is the reason to pick this version, and for a few weeks a year that is reason enough.
