About Willy Wonka: I Want It Now Slot
Six golden eggs sit on a rack above the reels, each labelled MINI, MINOR, MAJOR or carrying a cash value, and that rack is the entire base game in a nutshell. Before every spin, one or more of those eggs lights up. Any reel sitting under a lit egg gets swapped for an alternate strip stocked only with Wilds and Scatter Gold symbols, and reel six picks up an extra Wild Jackpot icon on top of that. Land a Scatter Gold on one of those egg-reels and the jackpot displayed above pays out immediately. Six scattered Wilds anywhere on the screen takes the Top Jackpot.
The art is straight out of the 1971 Gene Wilder film: pink-and-purple bubblegum walls, brass factory pipes, Gene Wilder's portrait in the velvet-collared coat watching the reels from a side panel, Veruca Salt scowling on reel two, orange Oompa-Loompas marching across the mid-paying tier, and Gobstoppers stacked like multicoloured marbles on the lows. Card royals come wrapped in candy paper. The Oompa-Loompa Feature can drop extra rows onto the 5x3 grid mid-spin, so the 35 ways occasionally swell into something taller.
Six or more Gobstoppers triggers the Veruca Bonus, named after her infamous tantrum in the Egg Room. It plays as a hold-and-respin with wrapped gift symbols that land, lock, and combine into multipliers while Veruca throws her fit in the background. Six Scatters with at least one Scatter Gold sends you into the Golden Egg Bonus, which is where the mechanic gets unusual. Five spins play on a shortened 3-high grid with two horizontal rows of six eggs above it. The upper row holds the bigger prizes (2.5x up to 18x bet, plus MINI and MINOR), the lower row holds smaller ones (0.5x to 2x). Each spin the upper row shifts right and the lower row shifts left, revealing fresh eggs. For every reel that had a Scatter on the trigger, one of the two eggs above that column gets selected and its prize applies to every symbol that lands in that column. New Scatters during the bonus assign eggs to columns that don't have one yet.
The Buy Pass rolls the dice on which bonus you get rather than letting you choose, which is a strange call for a premium licensed title. No ante, no gamble, no risk ladder. The Top Jackpot at 10,000x bet sits at the top of a four-tier ladder, and the only way to actually hit it is six Wilds landing in one shot - statistically painful but thematically appropriate for a game whose entire identity is built around a spoiled little girl demanding everything at once.
