2024 Hit Slot Slot Overview
Endorphina puts out a Hit Slot every year, and the 2024 one is a fruit machine dressed up for a New Year's party. Red theatre curtains, a heavy gold frame, cherries and bells and a red 7 with a flame burning inside it. The twist, such as it is, is a golden jester mask with the year stamped on a plaque under his chin.
That mask is the wild and it only turns up on the three middle reels. When it lands it fills its reel from top to bottom and stands in for everything except the two scatters, which is the one moment the game gets loud. Ten paylines, fixed, no trimming them down.
There are no free spins. The star and the horseshoe pay from wherever they land and then the spin is over, so the base game plus a card gamble and a set of network progressives is the entire package.
Theme & Design
The reels sit in a thick gold frame on a black playfield, with deep red velvet curtains pulled back behind them and lit warm from the wings. It reads as a stage, and the little sparkle glints that pop off the frame corners sell that idea well enough.
Symbols are the glossy fruit set: an orange carrying one green leaf, a lemon with the same leaf, a purple plum, blue grapes, a watermelon cut open to show red flesh, twin cherries on a stem. Above those a gold bell and the flaming 7. The jester is the best-drawn thing on the reels, a gold face under a three-pointed cap set against a red tartan panel.
None of the art is new. Endorphina has run this exact fruit set across a stack of its classic titles, and the New Year angle here amounts to a number and some curtains. Bright, clean, legible at any bet size, and completely familiar.

Features & How They Work
The 2024 Joker Wild
The wild lands on reels 2, 3 and 4 only, then stretches to cover that reel completely. One mask sits on all three rows and replaces every symbol bar the star and the horseshoe. With ten fixed lines threading through the middle of the grid, a full-reel expanding wild touches most of them at once, which is why almost every worthwhile hit in this game has a jester somewhere in it.
The outer reels never get one. Reel 1 has to open a combination by itself and reel 5 has to close it, so five-of-a-kind stays scarce even with the middle column locked out.
Two Scatters, Both Paying
The horseshoe lands anywhere across the five reels; the star only shows on reels 1, 3 and 5. Each pays by count from any position, and that money is added on top of whatever the lines produce. Five horseshoes return 100x the bet, three stars return 20x. Only the best result counts per scatter type per spin, so a second star combination on the same spin adds nothing.
Neither one opens a bonus. They pay and the reels move on.
Risk Game
After a winning spin, four face-down cards come up and you pick one to beat the dealer. Guess higher and the win doubles, up to ten times in a row; guess wrong and the lot is gone. A joker beats everything, the dealer never draws one, equal ranks are a push. Average return on the gamble is around 84%, and it swings hard with the dealer's card, from roughly 162% against a 2 down to about 42% against an ace. It's disabled during autoplay, and jackpot money cannot be gambled.
Mystery Progressives
Grand, Major and Minor run on a shared network pool and drop at random, with no pick round and nothing to trigger. Higher bets improve the odds of being drawn, provided the bet sits inside the qualifying range. Operators can disable the whole thing, so the jackpot panel may not exist at all depending on where the game is loaded.

How 2024 Hit Slot Plays
Low volatility means here what it usually means. Small wins land often, plenty of them worth less than the spin that produced them, and the balance slides down in a slow straight line instead of falling off a cliff. Nothing accumulates between spins. No meter, no counter, no scatter tally creeping toward a number, so each spin resolves and the next one starts from scratch.
Which puts all the tension in the gamble. It's the only decision available, and running a 40x win through four straight doubles is the closest a session gets to a story (the ace turns up eventually, it always does). Skip it and the loop is just fruit going past.
Ten lines at ten cents buys a long stretch of spins for very little. That's the appeal or the problem, depending on the day and probably on how patient you are.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Expanding jester wild covers a full middle reel and catches most of the ten lines in one go
- Two scatter-pay symbols add money on top of line wins, keeping paying spins frequent
- Card gamble runs up to ten consecutive doubles and is the one place a player steers anything
- Crisp classic art that stays readable on a phone
Cons
- No free spins, no bonus round, no buy feature: the base game is the whole game
- The fruit symbols are recycled across Endorphina's classic range, and the 2024 theme is a number plus curtains
- Max win has never been published, so the ceiling is guesswork before you load it
- Progressives can be switched off by the operator, meaning the headline jackpots may not be there at all
Is 2024 Hit Slot Worth Playing?
Judged as a ten-line fruit machine with one good trick, it works. The expanding jester is a proper hook, two paying scatters keep the hit rate healthy, and 96.05% is normal territory for the studio.
The trouble starts around the ten-minute mark, when it becomes clear that nothing is ever going to change. No second gear, no round to chase, just the same grid and a gamble lifted straight from every other Endorphina classic. The annual Hit Slot run was never about depth, and 2024 is one of the leaner entries in it. The unpublished max win doesn't help the case either.
