About 5 Pyramids of Gold: Hold & Win Slot
Picture a sun-bleached desert at golden hour, with distant pyramids hazing into orange sky and an ornate gilded portal holding the reels. To the left of that portal sits a vertical stack of five small pyramids, each one belonging to a different Special Coin: Collect, Double, Restart, Big, and Mystery. Watching those pyramids charge up is half the tension here, because every Special Coin that lands during base play fills its matching pyramid, and a fully charged one can pre-activate that effect when the Hold and Win bonus triggers.
The bonus itself starts with 3 respins on Coin-only reels. Special Coins lock in place but they also stack effects in a fixed order: Mystery first, then Double, then Collect, then Big. So a Mystery awards a jackpot, Double then doubles every locked Cash Prize on the board (jackpots are exempt), Collect sweeps up those doubled values, and Big finally expands into a 2x2 oversized symbol worth 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, or 50x. The Restart coin is the wild card. It quietly waits until the round ends, then triggers another full Hold and Win and adds those wins to the first total. Two bonuses for the price of one, occasionally three.
Jackpots are gated entirely behind the Mystery coin: Mini at 25x, Minor at 50x, Major at 250x, and the Grand at 2,500x. No other path to them, so dry bonuses where Mystery never shows up feel a lot flatter than ones where it lands twice.
And then there are Free Spins, which is what makes this an odd one. Most games in Octoplay's Hold and Win line pick a lane. This one runs both. Land 3 Scatters on reels 2, 3, and 4 and you get just 5 free spins, but with a permanently locked Wild on the middle reel and a multiplier that climbs by 1 each spin: x1, x2, x3, all the way to x10 by the final spin. Five spins is short, but the curve is aggressive. The Wild itself doesn't pay on lines, it only carries the multiplier into combos passing through the middle column.
The Double Chance ante at 1.6x your bet is steeper than most ante bets in the catalog, and the direct Hold and Win buy at 80x is the cleaner option if you only care about coin gameplay. Double Chance pushes RTP a hair higher, the buy nudges it slightly higher again, but the gap is small enough that it's mostly a question of how long you want the base game to run. Set against the Egyptian backdrop of palm silhouettes, distant camels, and that fiery pink-on-gold reel frame, it's a louder, busier take on a tomb-raider slot than most.
