About Age of the Gods: Medusa & Monsters Slot
The green-snake-haired Gorgon is the wild here, and she doesn't just substitute - the moment she lands she stretches to cover the whole reel, top to bottom. She arrives stacked, so a single drop can blanket a full column and turn most of the connected positions into her. That matters because the base pays are tiny. Six Mermaids, the best-paying standard symbol, return three times your total bet, and everything below that (the horned Minotaur, three-headed Cerberus, the golden ship, dagger, winged helmet, and the cut gems) pays even less. So the base game lives and dies on how many reels the expanding Medusa can flood at once across the 164 ways.
The layout helps her. Reels alternate between six and seven symbols tall, and every monster and gem lands in tall stacks, which lets a single symbol type fill huge chunks of the grid and connect long ways wins. When Medusa expands over that, the stacks she covers all become wild.
Three ornate shield-mirror scatters open Medusa's Gaze, six free games with a twist on the monster symbols. Her stare petrifies the Mermaid, Minotaur, and Cerberus into stone versions of themselves, and a single Medusa wild shifts to a new reel each spin rather than dropping randomly. It retriggers, so the six spins can stretch. Notice there's no way to buy in - the scatters are the only entrance.
Sitting above it all are the four Age of the Gods progressives, Power through Ultimate Power, the shared network jackpots that hit at random and hand you a pick-a-coin round. They're locked in demo, showing "Not available" across the top banners, so free play only ever gets you the base wins and the free games.
The setting is bleak and pretty at once: a rocky Aegean shoreline under a blood-red sunset, waves crushing on the rocks below a deep-red marble grid bordered in gold snakes. Winning lines trace out in green. It's one of the darker, more menacing monster-themed corners of the franchise.
