Candy Stash Deluxe shares a name and a candy theme with Zillion Games' 2022 original, but the two slots have almost nothing else in common. The original Candy Stash used an unusual 3-4-4-4-3 grid with 576 ways to win. This Deluxe version scraps all of that for a straightforward 5x4 layout with 25 fixed paylines. RTP climbs from 94.96% to 95.25%, and the entire feature set is different.
Visually, Zillion went all in on the candy aesthetic. Pastel backgrounds with oversized gummy bears, candy streams, and frosted cupcakes on the reels. The grid sits inside a pink-and-white candy-striped frame with four jackpot meters stacked vertically on the left. It looks like it belongs on a mobile game store page - bright, clean, unapologetically sweet.
The main attraction here is the Hold and Ring mode (Zillion's name for their hold-and-win mechanic). Landing 6 Bonus symbols on a single spin triggers it. Each Bonus symbol carries a coin value - numbers like 2, 6, 10, or 12 - displayed in white circles on the grid.
Once triggered, the standard rules apply: 3 respins, locked Bonus symbols, counter resets whenever a new one lands. Two extra symbols activate during this mode. The Mystery symbol reveals a hidden value, and the Boost symbol collects all visible Bonus values into one total. Fill every cell on the 5x4 grid - all 20 positions - and you hit the Grand Jackpot at 1,000x your bet.
The four tiers scale with bet size: Mini (20x), Minor (50x), Major (100x), and Grand (1,000x). At a 2.00 bet, the Grand pays 2,000. These are fixed multipliers, not progressive pools.
Three Scatter symbols (the tiered cake icon) trigger Free Spins. During this mode, a Walking Wild feature activates - Wilds shift across the reels with each spin instead of staying put. It's a clean, familiar mechanic that adds some movement to an otherwise standard free spins round.
Outside of the bonus modes, there's a Random Wild feature that drops two or more Wilds onto the reels without warning. No trigger condition - it just fires occasionally during base game play.
Here's where the math gets honest. The maximum win is 1,300x your stake. For a game with four jackpot tiers and a Hold and Ring feature, that's a low cap. The Grand Jackpot alone accounts for 1,000x, which leaves only 300x of headroom for everything else - line wins, bonus values, the works.
Medium volatility at 95.25% RTP with a hit rate around 3% means this slot plays it safe. Frequent small returns, occasional bonus rounds, but the payout ceiling just doesn't leave room for big surprises. If you're after the kind of game where Hold and Win respins build to a massive payout, this isn't that game. The jackpot structure looks better than it performs.
Zillion Games took an EGR Europe 2025 award for best new supplier, and their engine runs smoothly. But Candy Stash Deluxe feels like a game designed to keep sessions going rather than deliver standout moments. Solid enough for casual play - just don't expect fireworks from the jackpot meters.
