Symbols tumble into a broken stone archway, matches blow up, and every so often a wizard's face rises out of a floating book and throws a number at the purple orb beside the reels. That orb is the game.

The board is an odd shape. Three rows on the outer reels, four across the middle three, 18 fixed lines threaded through the whole thing. Evoplay kept the ruleset short: drops, a wild, a scatter and the Magician symbols that feed the orb. Nothing else is hiding in there.

It came out in October 2022 with a 95.94% return and a 3,105x ceiling, which puts it a notch below most of the fantasy cascade games it sits next to. The shape of the grid is the memorable part.

Everything is cold blue and teal. Two carved stone pillars with leafy capitals prop up a cracked arch, the reels sit in a dark recess behind them, and the background dissolves into pale ice-mountains with ruined battlements ghosted into the rock. The multiplier orb is set into the left pillar like a violet gemstone. The right pillar has a matching socket that stays empty the whole time, which looks like space for a second feature that never got built.

The symbol art splits hard in two. Premiums get gothic window frames: a red dragon coiled against violet, a blue plumed helm, a spellbook clasped around an emerald, a gem-studded chest, a sack of coins spilling pearls. The low symbols are flat cracked discs stamped with crossed swords, a crown, a star, a swirl, a dove. They are fine on their own, but they share so much of the background's palette that a board full of them just reads as clutter. The Magicians are the best thing here: pale masked faces lifting out of open books in blue, violet, red and gold smoke, colour-coded to the +2, +5, +10 and +25 they carry.

It pays often and it pays small. Roughly a quarter of spins return something, and most of those are three cracked discs for pocket change, so a balance here drifts downward in a thin steady line rather than falling in lumps. Base-game drop chains are usually one or two deep. The orb rarely gets past single digits before the spin is over.

Which pushes all the attention onto reels 1, 3 and 5, since those are the only places a Scatter appears, and needing all three at once means long quiet stretches with nothing much to track. That waiting is the weak spot. There is no side meter filling up, no collection to watch, just spins.

The bonus feels like a different game. Ten rounds is not many and the first two or three often pass without much, but the number in the orb only ever travels one direction, so hits that paid pennies upstairs start paying properly. And yes, that is a lot of hope resting on ten spins. It either snowballs or it fizzles, and for my money it fizzles more often than not.

One good idea, cleanly built, with almost nothing packed around it. The Magician multiplier earns its keep during free spins and does almost nothing outside them, and at 95.94% the gaps between bonuses are not cheap to sit through. A player who likes a short readable ruleset and a bonus that builds on itself will get more from this than someone after variety, because ten spins and a stacking number is the entire endgame.

Where it comes up short is ambition. That empty socket on the right pillar says it all: room for a second feature, nothing in it. The drops are quick though, the board has character, and when the orb climbs into the thirties the game finally shows what it was built for.
