Dated for release on 19 October 2026, just in time for the spooky season, Spider Circus is BGaming's latest Halloween-themed cartoon slot. If you're a fan of Hold & Win games, this one is going to feel very familiar, especially if you've played Relax Gaming's Money Train 5. However, while it shares a similar grid and progression style, Spider Circus takes a much stricter approach to how it hands out its big features.

The Hold & Win Bonus
The base game is pretty straightforward, but the main event is definitely the Hold & Win bonus. You need six Spiders to trigger it naturally, or you can buy HOLD & WIN outright for a very reasonable 60x your stake. There's also Chance x2 (a 1.5x spin) which doubles your chances of landing the bonus organically, though it locks out the buy while active.

Once you're in, the grid clears out, leaving a 5x4 board with just your triggering Spiders. You get the standard three respins, which reset every time a new Spider lands. To spice things up, the game randomly drops three multipliers (between 2x and 5x) onto empty spaces. If a Spider lands on one of those specific spots, its value gets multiplied.

It's a neat idea, but in practice, it can be a bit frustrating. Because the multipliers only apply to the exact cell they sit on, you really need a long run of respins to hit them. During my session, I bought the bonus for 60x. The game gave me two 3x cells and a 5x cell, and my starting Spiders were worth 23x. Unfortunately, my three respins completely blanked, no new Spiders landed, the multiplier cells went unused, and I walked away with about a third of my buy-in. It's a harsh reminder that a bought round can come back well short of its price.
The Wheel of Fortune
The biggest quirk of Spider Circus is how it paces its rewards. The true potential of the game is locked behind a strict symbol count.
As you collect Spiders, the game keeps track. If you manage to hit 10, 15, or 20 Spiders on the board, the final symbol transforms into a Wheel of Fortune. This wheel is where the actual fun hides: it can dish out fixed prizes (from 10x up to a 500x Grand), a Collect symbol that gathers all values on the board, a global 2x or 3x multiplier, or... just a regular Spider.
Because the jackpots and the board-wide modifiers are tied to this wheel, you have to reach that 10-Spider milestone to see any real action. If your bonus stalls out early, you're stuck with whatever Spiders you landed. It feels like the game is guarding its best features behind a door that only a really lucky streak of respins can open.

How It Compares
If we look at BGaming's own catalog, Spider Circus sits right alongside 3 Lucky Monkeys Hold & Win. Both boast a fantastic 97.00% RTP (which is well above average) and a solid 5,000x max win. But they play differently. 3 Lucky Monkeys uses a smaller 5x3 expanding grid, has much more expensive bonus buys (80x and 200x), and offers a 5,000x fixed jackpot. Spider Circus limits its fixed jackpot to 500x, relying instead on those cell multipliers to build up big wins. (If you prefer expanding wilds, BGaming's Ultras uses this exact 5x4 layout but mixes up the feature set).
The most obvious comparison, however, is Money Train 5. Both games use a 5x4 board and unlock features at set symbol milestones. But where Money Train 5 gives you a modifier at the 5-symbol mark, Spider Circus makes you wait until you hit 10. Money Train 5 also boasts a staggering 100,000x max win, though it comes with a much lower 96.10% RTP.
Spider Circus is a fun, great-looking seasonal slot with a highly generous 97.00% RTP and a very affordable bonus buy. If you like games that hand out modifiers early and often, the strict gating of the Wheel of Fortune might annoy you. But if you don't mind a bonus round that makes you work for its biggest thrills, it's definitely worth a few spins this Halloween.
