Pixel Samurai is a retro pixel-art take on feudal Japan, a moody dusk scene of pagodas and a torii gate behind a 5x5 grid of chibi warriors. There are no paylines here. Instead it's a count-pays game: land five or more of the same character anywhere on the grid and it pays, and the more you match, up to a full 25, the bigger the prize. Six warriors make up the set, a red samurai, a blue geisha, a silver ice-ninja, a straw-hat ronin, a purple sumo and a green archer.

Every win also cascades. The matched symbols vanish and new ones drop into the gaps, which can chain one win into another on a single spin. Web listings put the theoretical max at 50,000x your stake once that jackpot is included, but the progressive reads "Not available" in the free Playtech demo, since it only pays for real money, so 5,000x is really the ceiling you can reach here.

Worth being honest about the return: at 93.98% the RTP is low, and this is in fact Playtech's old Funky Fruits count-pays maths re-skinned as samurai with a cascade layer added. The pixel styling is charming and the cluster-and-cascade format makes a change from paylines, but for real money the maths is on the stingy side. A fun demo curiosity more than a go-to game.
