About The Wizard of Oz: Road to Emerald City Slot

Seven completely different bonus rounds sit underneath what looks like a sleepy three-reel game, one for each main character from the 1939 film, and the catch is the player doesn't choose between them. Landing 3 EMERALD scatters centered on any active payline opens a random Bonus Selector, and that wheel decides which character round plays out. 4 EMERALDs do the same plus a 3x total bet entry award. Each of the seven rounds runs on a different engine, which is what makes this Wizard of Oz sequel strange for a 3x3 slot.

Dorothy Free Spins is the hub. 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 15 or 20 spins are awarded at random, and every EMERALD that lands fills a small meter. Three EMERALDs on the meter trigger ANY of the other five core bonuses inline, the side bonus resolves, and play returns to Dorothy. Cowardly Lion Multipliers is the opposite extreme, a single spin where reel one carries only Wild Multipliers from 1x up to 25x. Tin Man Winning Spin sticks a full WILD reel on reel two and refuses to end until something pays, with the multiplier climbing 1x to 25x for each EMERALD that drops along the way. Scarecrow Crow Prizes plays out in three rounds of cash and multipliers, where the final multiplier applies to the sum of everything collected. Wicked Witch is three spins of sticky wilds locking to every WILD, LOGO or EMERALD position. Toto Emerald Trails runs unlimited spins filling three cash paths, and only ends after three barren spins in a row.

The seventh bonus is Glinda the Good Witch, and she only appears from the base game, never inside Dorothy. When she triggers she picks a different character round to play, then either bolts a 100x, 200x or 500x cash prize onto the result or applies a 2x, 3x or 5x multiplier to whatever it pays. If any triggered bonus somehow ends with nothing, a 3x total bet consolation kicks in so nobody walks away empty handed.

The presentation leans straight into the 1939 movie. A wooden Wizard of Oz signpost sits behind the 3x3 reels, the BAR symbols are oversized yellow brick plates, the EMERALDs glow against poppy red 7s, and the top of the cabinet is a row of seven circular sepia portraits, Toto, Tin Man, Glinda, Dorothy, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion and the Wicked Witch, each lit when their bonus is active. The Emerald City silhouette sits upper right, the Yellow Brick Road runs through the poppy field behind everything, and the spin button is a wooden plank at the bottom.
