A lake fishing slot that gets better the longer you sit on it. Every Collect scatter you bank pushes a trail along the top of the reels, and each step of that trail permanently switches on a new way of hauling in cash fish. Cold, it is a plain Megaways game. Twenty collects deep, it is a different machine.

The frame is standard Blueprint bass fishing: six reels, two to five rows, up to 15,625 ways, 95% RTP in this build (operators can also run 93% or 92%) and a 10,000x ceiling. Cash Prize fish carry printed values from half a stake upward, topping out at the MEGA pot worth 2,500x, and a grinning angler on reels 1 and 6 is the only thing that turns those numbers into money.

The reels sit underwater. Above the waterline there is a calm blue lake, a pine treeline and snow-capped peaks; below it, pale weed, rock and bubbles drifting up past the grid. Royals are chunky coloured letters, purple nines and tens, green queens, red kings, gold aces, and the tackle above them is exactly what you would expect: an iridescent dragonfly, a red-and-white bobber float, a brass-reeled rod, an open tackle box and a red-white-blue speedboat at the top of the ladder. The collector is a bearded angler in a green cap holding up a fat green bass, and he stretches to fill his whole reel when he lands.

Two bits of furniture carry the atmosphere. The pot panel down the left runs MEGA 2,500 in red through MAJOR, MINOR and MINI in blue, pink and yellow, and the trail banner across the top holds seven greyed-out icons with little gold pips filling in underneath. Watching those pips fill is the visual hook of the whole thing. It also looks identical to every other fishing game in this family, which is comforting or dull depending on how many of them you have already played.

The opening stretch is the quiet part. Fish land constantly and pay nothing without an angler, and with collectors stuck on reels 1 and 6 you spend a long run of spins watching 0.50 and 1.50 banners drift past unclaimed. That is the tease doing its job.

The ways count swings hard as well, dropping to 1,728 on a shallow board and needing five symbols on every reel to come anywhere near 15,625, so dead spins pile up even by Megaways standards. What changes is the texture, not the payouts. Once Win Streak and Win Wave are switched on, a single collector turns into a run of respins and cascades, and the same fish that paid 3x in the first minute clears thirty. Sessions here build, which most fishing slots never bother to do.

The flip side is plain enough. This is designed for long, well-funded sittings, and a fifty-spin dip shows you the flattest version of it (worth remembering if you are just sampling a demo before depositing somewhere). For my money it works as a grind and grates in short bursts.

On paper this is another fishing Megaways with a cash collect bolted on, and there are dozens of those. The trail is what saves it: a progression system dressed up as a bonus meter, and it does more for a session than any single feature in the game. The idea is good and it holds up, which is more than most third entries in a series manage.

Everything around it is ordinary. The base game is thin, the lake is the same lake from five other Blueprint titles, and 95% is nothing to celebrate before you account for casinos picking the 92% build. The awkward part is that the best version of this game only exists an hour into a session, and that arrangement flatters the house more than the person paying for it.
